Also, I had a thought: In the scans, we've seen Musashi Boost, Robin Boost and Benkei Boost. I'm thinking if we don't end up seeing every single Ghost parka with a Boost variation, we'll at least see Billy the Kid and maybe even Tutankhamen. Seems to me like they might be going another round in trying to sell Ghost Gadgets and the Gangun Saber by featuring those forms most prominently with the new undersuit. Yeah, it's a weird phrase considering that in context Necrom himself would be most likely to be labelled an invader.
Who knows, maybe it's a goading phrase aimed at his opponents. Like "just try to crush the invader, come at me bros." Or maybe it's just a weird thing that doesn't mean anything. I really like the little jingles for the Megauruoda though. Just makes it that much sadder that there's only three of them... |

I think we look at this too specifically, maybe it’s not meaning "Crush the one who Invades" but "The crushing Invader". Meaning Necrom is an invader who crushes everything in his path. I would just assume that because it’s Japan and they wanted a cool sounding English phrase that it isn’t spelled out correctly.
Remember we had stuff like "Knight of Spear" instead of “Knight of the Spear” too. |

I'm not so sure. The placement of "the" really makes a gigantic difference; much more so than the Baron thing. Maybe it's just how clear the language is for the rest of the toy, but there's something about this case that feels more intentional than simply an Engrish mistake. If it IS an error in translation, I'd wager the problem is more about the definition of "invader." It could just be referring to someone who is getting in the way of things, or intruding on his plans.

After watching a few bits from episode 16 now that hd raws are out (seriously lots of cool stuff in this episode) again, I gotta confirm my initial impression: Necrom's theme is fantastic.
My feelings on Ghost are pretty mixed, but if there's one thing about it that IMO has been consistently great, it's the soundtrack. Lots of good music in this show. |

Apparently the Mega Uloader is voiced by Peter Von Gomm, a voice actor from America who lives in Japan and is apparently pretty well known as a Japanese commercial narrator. Here's a demo reel of some of his work:
He was also the narrator for that Google Maps Pokemon April Fools thing, which is were I remember hearing his voice: Glad that mystery is solved. Last edited by IXRollOutIX; 02-01-2016 at 01:46 AM.. |

The dude has a pretty good voice. And that would explain why his English is so good (still can't really make Megauruodo sound like a real word, but otherwise).
Speaking of Mega Ulorder sounds (gah that name is so meaningless. like goddamn condor denwor up in here) and the "Crush the Invader" weirdness. One supposes it's possible that it's actually "Crash! The Invader!" which...I guess. It would make more sense and considering how muffled the sound is it's not any less accurate. Plus it very appropriately describes Necrom's entrance. So I guess I'm going with that. |

The more I listen to it, I'm not actually hearing a "the" in the jingle. It might just say "Crash; Invader!"
Also, can we just agree to call the Mega "Ulorder" the Mega "Uloader"? That random 'r' in the middle is clearly a mistake. It doesn't even make sense given the pun is based on the word "uruou" and there isn't a second random 'r' in there anywhere. |

Yeah, I really don't hear the "za" in there, but the closed captioning says there is...probably a mistake or something, I guess.
Uloader does make more sense than Ulorder, though the random U is still odd. It's definitely one of those puns that only works in its native language. |
