Big wall of text, oh my!
I was kinda in the middle but was leaning towards less than average. While I did like a lot of the things it did offer, such as the forms, music, and overall story, the characters just made it...boring for me. |

I'm honestly surprised that this post didn't come from me. I'm glad there are other Ghost lovers out there. For me I thought all the characters were brilliant, the story was great, the Villains were amazing. There was small part after the first arc and before Necrom came that was kind of slow but besides that it was fantastic. Takeru himself was there for me when I needed him, this was a show about connecting with others and I know some people might few that as cheesy I thought it was a very good show for teaching and helping out people that needs it. Takeru had the very heart of a Kamen Rider, even in the movie with Kamen Rider Ichigou it showed how similar both Takeshi and Takeru are they just go about things differently. I think that's what was great about it. Honestly I felt this was kind of a Showa Era show in the time of the Neo-Heisei Era of Kamen Rider.

Well, If nothing else I thank you for making post about a positive opinion on something.
As a fellow Ghost fan (though I questioning my position on it these days) I appreciate this. Here's to seeing if Ex-aid will earn one of these posts out of you, as this is starting to seem like a thing.

Pretty much all the elements of the show that drove some people crazy just made total sense to me from day one, is what it comes down to, I guess. Quote:

I don't think I'll have this much to say about Ex-Aid given how my opinions on it actually match up with everyone else's for once. There's not much point in trying to explain why I think a show is good to people who almost unanimously seem to agree it's good. [sarcasm?]Maybe if I ever rewatch Faiz or something...[/sarcasm?]

Well I've come to understand we're kind of peas in a pod when it comes to Toku.
Like about all this, for example. I can see where people would find the show's themes inane/goofy but I found it all brilliant. The big thing that makes me love Ghost so much is that I'm on pretty much the exact same wavelength as it. It's the same deal with Takeru. A lot of people found him to be too wimpy or upbeat but to me he was a really likable, relatable protagonist, and I was totally invested in seeing his transformation over the course of the show into the more traditionally heroic character he became. Pretty much all the elements of the show that drove some people crazy just made total sense to me from day one, is what it comes down to, I guess. I think it's safe to say that won't be an issue. Well I try my best. I don't think I'll have this much to say about Ex-Aid given how my opinions on it actually match up with everyone else's for once. [sarcasm?]Maybe if I ever rewatch Faiz or something...[/sarcasm?] Yeah we pretty much are lol. It's good that we're not alone though. Yeah I think it all depends on how people are. But there are lots of shows in this series and not everything is for everyone. Yeah I think everyone is loving Ex-Aid except for people who can't get past the designs lol.

Ghost for me is actually kind of like how a lot of people see Faiz.
Lots of really cool ideas that simply weren't executed well. I still love Faiz just because I loved Takumi so much and because Kusaka reached hilarious levels of douchebaggery, which Ghost unfortunately doesn't have as a fallback for me. I'm still glad that somebody was able to find enjoyment in it though, and perhaps on a second watch, it'll come together as a show much better for me than the initial viewing. There are parts of it I liked though. I'm mainly referring to Alain. Seriously, this is the third Rider show in a row where the third Rider is my favorite Rider in the series. What's up with that? Akari is also particularly standout for the same reasons I liked Kiriko in Drive in that she's not a totally useless female character in a Rider show for once. Ghost has to at least get some props for that. In fact, I think I like Akari more than Takeru. She should have been the main character >_>

Well, it was a shame I never got invested as much in this show, but I would like to confidently say that Onari was the best. The critics can hate all they want but Onari was hilarious.

I know it sounds odd but I love Ghost because it made me feel like a child at heart and kept my feelings for my fellow human beings in check. Just some of the lessons it tried teaching and the way the characters were portrayed gave me a feeling of" oh ya I do have some compassion for humanity lol Plus I thought Ghost had a really Sweet outfit, especially with all of the changes he went through with it.
