I guess once again I'm in the minority of those who want this no matter what and damn the expense...

If you want a Falconzord, get the original off eBay. They only tend to go for about $25-30.
The problem is that, for all this does, it's really as much of a static piece as the original. Otherwise, wait and see what the new Ninja Megazord and Shogun Megazord has to offer before you take the $80 plunge (Or at least wait until TRU stops dicking around and corrects it's price).

The $80 price is ridiculous for a 99% plastic bird that does nothing. $60 is just as ridiculous. If retail was $40 I could maybe see that. But this figure in no way shape or form offers any qualitative addition to it's design that the original toy lacked, at least not one that would set it apart by this kind of price gap. It's just crazy to think that $80 was where they started with this thing. Because they knew collectors, or at least many of them, would pay that for it.

$25 would be a stretch for this thing. This price hiking is unacceptable. And while this and shogun were my first zords as kids, i cant pay such jacked up prices for something like that. I would love Thunder, but again, 200 is just too damn much

It's not about size or being "fancy" when they are functionally almost the exact same toy. Legacy has hinged wings and paint apps. No Zord Builder either so it has no compatibility with anything currently. That's about it. No reason to overpay for the new one when the original is very affordable. I certainly hope you only paid the $59.99 and not the ridiculous $79.99 it originally retailed for.

One thing pointed out in the review is that the clips are not the same as the original, meaning it will combine in a very different way? If that's the case, steering folks to an original on ebay may not be the best choice if that fan is building a Legacy Collection, since the original probably won't be compatible. Rather, I'd be more inclined to simply wait for the inevitable 40% off sale.

The original Falconzord is not rare. There are no scalper prices. You can find the bloody thing opened and completed for $15 on eBay. There's a bid for one mint in sealed box that's going for a whopping $20 right now. For those wanting a little more, you can generally find a near completed Ninja Falcon Megazord (Usually the only thing missing is the ape zord's swords) for around $50. If you have full intent on buying the upcoming Legacy Ninja and Shogun Megazords, then fair enough (Since I totally want those, too). But you don't have to feel obligated to drop $60-80 solely for the Legacy Falconzord just because you believed the original is going for super high prices online because it's 20 years old. Quote:
