It's what comic shops use to gauge what their customers want. They cost $4.95 for someone if they want to buy it but we give it to our customers for free if they have a comic file folder set up. Basically if there's anything they see in it they fill the order form out, bring it back to us before the order cutoff date, and we place the order for them. And since I work at said comic shop I can get mine for cost

It's great that BlueFin is bringing this figure to the US, but could someone please explain more what this means? Once the figure is brought over, where can you find it for purchase? The way I understand it, you still need to find a comic book store/anime store/collector shop in the US that is willing to carry these figures from BlueFin. Or I guess check Amazon? Is that right?

Every month comic shops get a new new magazine called Diamond Previews. You can buy the full book for $5, or what I just do is look through my comic shop's copy and tell them what I want to order and they order it for me. Last month I had them order Den-O and Stronger, yesterday I had them order Red Hawk and Tiger. Usually the stuff in the magazine ships to the comic shops two months later, but sometimes they have delays and I've had things I've ordered now show up for 9 months. For Figuarts, I will just order what I can from the Previews from now on since I get the figures physically in my hand when I pay for them. Also, sometimes a comic store will sell it to you at the discounted price they got them for. So even though Red Hawk was $43, if my store gets a discount, he could end up costing me $38 instead.
I realy hope the AkibaRangers show up in the Previews magazine soon, because I want all threeof them. |
