Agito is a season of Demons vs. Angels. The angels being the lords and the demons being the Agitos and Gill.

Piggybacking off the Amazons discussion earlier in this thread. Spoilers for Amazons S2
The under suits of Amazon Neo and Alpha aren't 1:1 palette swaps of each other: The green marks on Alpha are jagged and mostly short, resembling scars Jin gets in battle. In comparison, the red marks on Neo are longer and thinner because they're supposed to resemble black veins humans get once they're infected with the Lysogenic Amazon Cells: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/...20170819034703 This is because Chihiro is actually one of the origin points of the Lysogenic Amazon Cells. |

I haven't watched Agito yet, but this just put it on top of my 'to watch' list. I heard that Kuuga is linked to Agito somehow, so should I watch Kuuga first before watching Agito? Last edited by gashatfreak; 09-28-2019 at 06:01 PM.. |

At any rate, Kuuga and Agito have no direct connection and are pretty completely their own shows. There's no continued plot points or returning characters or anything like that, if that's what you're concerned about.

Agito just has a few cute nods to Kuuga that imply some sort of shared universe really, but it's extremely vague and nothing more than a couple of name drops and references.
What is interesting though is that thematically they're very similar, and their setting and base idea is very similar too. They definitely parallel each other and I highly recommend watching one close to the other, but honestly; Agito before Kuuga is fine. It's what I did, and I turned out... mostly okay! |

As I recall, the original idea was for Agito to be a direct sequel, and eventually include returning characters from Kuuga...however, Kuuga’s staff nixed the idea, and so those references are all that remain.

The most direct reference/relation is that G3 is based off of Kuuga and Hikawa mentions Kuuga by his police moniker Unidentified Lifeform no. 4 early on in the show during a briefing in regards to the Unknown and Agito if I remember correctly. It was after episode 1 for sure but I can't remember exactly which episode. Either 2 or 3. Also the Guard Chaser's ignition mechanism is the same as Kuuga's Try Chaser and Beat Chaser.

I was looking through Kamen Rider Ghost stuff ("what? Kamen Rider Ghost? BLASPHEMY!" Okay! Put down the torches!) and I noticed something peculiar about Tutankhamun Damashii:
(From DeviantAt, artist: malecoc) I was like, "man, those are some weird-ass shoulders" and then I realised that they are hands. Like, the way pharaohs have their arms over their shoulders when they die. That is amazing. Kamen Rider Ghost may not have the best story, but you gotta love their designs! P.S. I don't know if it's just me, but I think Tutankhamun Damashii's horns are smaller compare to the rest of the Damashiis. It it is, it's a nice little nod at how young that guy died. |

Once you point it out, it’s really obvious but man I hadn’t noticed. Love this kind of stuff though. It doesn’t get a lot of recognition but I think the designs in Ghost are great, and it’s neat and clever design details like that that really makes them stand out to me (I brought it up in this thread long ago when I first watched its movie but, Tenkatoitsu is still cool as hell for this very reason).
Also, this is the (Ganbarising exclusive) Da Vinci Damashii: I remember looking at this a few years back and I was like, "oh man what a great design! The shoulders have paint palettes on them!" Looking at it now, I realise two things: -That thing on its head? That's Leonardo da Vinci's design for a tank (search 'da vinci tank' on Google or Bing or whatever browser you use). -The white and brown segments on the torso? That's an easel with a canvas on it. EDIT: Kamen Rider Necrom Grimm Damashii: I could be wrong, but I thing those things on the top front is meant to be two halves of a book or something. There's lines on it which i think is supposed to represent text? All I know is that the shoulders are old fountain pen nibs dipped in an ink jar.
