Pertwee is mine, with McCoy, Mcgann and Hurt not far behind.

Double post but oh well. Casting aside what are everyone's expectations for the next series? Do you think we'll get a new TARDIS (both interior or possibly exterior too)?
I'm hoping for a breakaway from season-long arcs, or even stuff that just builds towards one. Series 10 was pretty good in this regard, however ironically the one bit of continuity it had at the end could have possibly done with a bit more foreshadowing I think. Since a Dalek story seems inevitable (there wasn't one this year, they have to show up every series and it's a ratings pull), I'm naturally hoping for a really good one this time around. Magicians Apprentice/Witches Familiar came close, but that felt more of a Davros story than a Dalek one.

I don't think we'll see a new TARDIS, but that's not too bad, since I'm fond of the current one. As for writing, I'm hoping for a bit more towards season-long stuff in terms of character development, but less in plot. Like, have the stories be seperate, but have a character arc for the companion- as opposed to Bill, who I loved, but doesn't have much like that.
And we're almost certain to see a Dalek story- with a new Doctor, its practically traditional now. I don't think Chibnall will save them for the finale- wouldn't surprise me if he cooks up his own threat. I just hope its a good one.

Personally I don't agree with it for the same reason I don't agree with gender- and raceswapping characters in general; it's nearly impossible to do it without coming off as pandering, and often that's exactly what it is. But what makes it worse is that there are parties hellbent on making sure any criticism of such is silenced with cries of...well, you can probably guess. I just don't like having yet another fandom wind up being poisoned by people like that. |

Color me both surprised and pleased! According to the RadioTimes (with no confirmation on Big Finish's site as of yet), Georgia Moffett will be returning to Jenny in a line of audio dramas.
Here's the relevant portion of the article: Quote:

RadioTimes.com can also reveal that the Doctor’s daughter will have a male companion for her audio adventures: Sean Biggerstaff, the actor best know for playing Oliver Wood in the Harry Potter films, will star alongside her. One of the new audio adventures is being written by Christian Brassington – the actor will be well known to Poldark fans for playing the loathsome Osborne Whitworth in the current series.
