Saint Seiya has mastered the transformation aspect from the cloths (armors), the action aspect too and has an incredible storyline that continues to evolve through the time and uses greek myths as inspiration. Do take in account that there are no mosters of the week, all fights are between humans. It's more or less Tokusatsu meets Dragon Ball Z, but more coherent. And it has some awesome music. |

For example, look at GaoGaiGar. It's a Super Robot anime without a doubt, however, outside of the team aspect, it actively follows every one of your criteria (Transforming heroes, mecha, giant monsters), leading to a grey area.
