Exactly. I think the fact its otaku themed speaks for itself that's going to be a parody.

If Toei is trying to be dark in this series, from what I see so far, the costumes and using dolls to transform is hard to take seriously. At the moment I see this as a adult action comedy series.

And that sums up exactly why I don't care about Akibaranger anymore. I'll proabably still give it a try on the off chance it's good, but I'm not looking forward to it.

Were are people getting the idea that this is going to be a dark series from?
I think seeing the Yellow ranger in a freaking cat suit amongst other silly ideas kinda nullifies any idea of this being a dark series. |

Yeah, I guess it's because the misconception of "adult themed" automatically says dark to people these days. I definitely see this as a more raunchy comedy style than gritty dark style.

Yes, I'm expecting a lot of eyebrow raising "Oh Japan!" moments.

This is starting to remind me of that old spoof Sentai porn. I have to watch this series just to see how this goes. This getting Figuarts nailed it for me.

The show will be replacing the enka program on BSAsahi, and Shakugan no Shana on Tokyo MX.
