With these scans, I hope we see new sentai stuff. It probably is in there, but they donĀ“t want us to see it.

I swear they made the Double Action color scheme just to make me realize that I prefer the base Ex-Aid color scheme, which are words I never thought I'd type.
On the one hand, most of the designs strike me as too busy, and most (but not all) of the color combinations strike me as unfortunate, but I love how crazy it all continues to be, as well as that the toys don't give away *too* much about what'll happen in the show. I mean, it's Kamen Rider: there will be upgrades and too-chunky belt attachments and additional Riders. Zombie Genm looks great, even though now that many of you have pointed out the Mashin Chaser resemblance, I can't unsee it. Dragon Hunter looks bonkers, and I'm curious about the nature of its compatibility with Brave, Snipe, and Laser. The Gashacon Key Slasher looks to me like the statistical average of the Gashacon Breaker and Brave's and Snipe's weapons. Aesthetics aside, I have some functional concerns about the limitations the even-clunkier belts and insane shoulderpads (on Ex-Aid Double Action) will impose on fight sequences. And, heck, on the articulation of any related Figuarts. Actually, I wonder how soon we'll see a solicitation for Ex-Aid Gamer Level 2, and how hard Bandai is willing to tackle figures for a multi-Rider show now that Figuarts is juggling so many other properties. |

Ex-Aid still looks nothing like a Karate Bugman.

A fun little detail I noticed, Ex-Aid's chest when using XX shows the Key slasher in addition to the Breaker's two forms

Anyway, speaking of fun little details, the Gear Dual is called the Gear Dual. Which I mean. Yeah. But I was thinking it was a little odd that it had the GD for Gamer Driver on its label, considering that although it can work with it it's designed to work on its own. But its name is also GD so...can work either way. Probably less a notable detail and more me being obtuse but...eh. |

Some really cool stuff coming up in the 2nd quarter. Bandai is getting some serious milage from the kaban case mold, first Fourze, then Kyoryuger, now Ex-Aid. Zombie Genm looking similar to Mashin Chaser is not a bad thing, I like it and it was a great design. And I'm also bummed that Drago Hunter Z doesn't look as cool as the concept art, maybe I'll custom paint it. I'm looking forward to the Legend Rider Gashats, since only W thru Drive are up for release, I assume the Kuuga thru Decade will be premium web exclusive.

Black Ex-Aid is a powerup for Genm. Paradox is the guy who looks like a Street Fighter in one form and a hipster in the other.

I feel like the writers want us to think Paradox is Parad but are going to trick us and reveal he is not Paradox
