So Saban chose Goseiger to be the series they'll adapt for their 20th anniversary series? And with Gokaiger (an anniversary series) available and right there for the picking? What are they going to use Gokaiger for, then? A celebration of Power Rangers' 21st anniversary? It just makes no sense.
Btw, didn't Toei reshoot the Legends War for Saban awhile ago? What is it going to be use for then?

They can always do a two season thing, and let the rangers power up to a new suit such as the Gokaigers

Hmm this is interesting. Somehow I suspected that in no way will they give up perfectly good Goseiger footage. This turn of events makes it potentially very interesting, because a lot of story rewrites will have to be made. Thus the Saban people may be forced into writing a more original story like those of the Zordon Era.

Okay, gloating over. Let me try and be objective here.. which'll be hard, so.
I adore Goseiger. Then if you ever read any of my posts, you'd know that already. And I am happy like you cannot believe that Gosei might be the next series. But I also feel for you fans of Gokaiger. I know how I'd feel if Gosei wasn't being made, I'd feel lousy. But at the same time I think Goseiger can work. The story looks solid, and I already know I'll love the toys. As for the footage they reshot for an american Gokaiger. Guys, just because the next season might be Gosei doesn't mean Gokai isn't coming. They could do a Samurai to Super Samurai thing. First year is Gosei, and then they upgrade to Gokai. You never know. I'm just happy I might get to see a series I, and other people on the site, love getting made into an MMPR series here. And happy Kickback now owes me a Gosei Knight (I know I said no gloating, buuuuut I'm still idiotically happy so)

For me it's DinoThunder. Everything after DT was a horror story (never got to see the end of JF or RPM though, as they stopped airing the show where I live during JF).

I will give this a shot but Samurai doesn't have me confident in the crew behind the show.

Above all, I am reminded that we got In Space after Turbo and RPM after Jungle Fury (although I did like Jungle Fury, moreso than Samurai).

Incredibly disappointed.
Saban is wasting the perfect opportunity for a 20th Anniversary season. Throwing it away to bring over a translation (Tzachor's sinking the ship, so yes, it'll be a translation) of an unpopular (sorry Sentai) Japanese show. Their "big plans" is going to be nothing more than their re-shoot of the Legendary War and that's it, and we'll get it towards the tail end of the season. All this talk about "hope" and "faith" in Saban? Please. They've proved to us with Samurai that they will put an ensemble of horrible (cheap) actors together to Google-translate episodes (and even super-impose their actors in the SAME SHOT AS THE SENTAI FOOTAGE). They go as far as re-shooting the civilian scenes TO BE EXACTLY THE SAME BUT WITH ENGLISH ACTORS (the first episode of Samurai is a legitimate copy of the Sentai, scene for scene, in civilian form ... they even have the same angles and the same movement). I'm just terribly disappointed. This isn't any type of Anniversary season, this is just another cheaply created, poorly produced, unoriginal uninspired copy of the Super Sentai. They can't be angels so they're "supernatural". The rest of the show? CTRL C, CTRL V, highlight, Google translate, and done! Venting, sorry, haha. I just can't believe Saban would choose not to skip to Gokaiger for the anniversary aspect. Watch - they're going to skip Gokaiger entirely because it would cost too much money to re-shoot all the battle scenes. I'm calling it right now. Gokaiger will be skipped for Gobusters in 2015. Grr! (and yes, I've contacted Sentai for his address, a deal is a deal!) |

I must admit that I wonder about the prospects of a great season after Samurai. It is possible that Samurai was severely rushed and the reason they dragged Samurai out so long was to invest more time and effort in the following season.
