Could it be possible that Kiryu Sento was the one who touched Pandora's Box causing the cities to be formed?

Damn that was a really solid first episode! Definitely stronger than Ex-Aid's and like Fish said probably one of the best we've had in a good while.
While I'm not a huge fan of the Drill Crusher, the rest of the gimmicks worked really well and it was fantastic to see so much bike action right off the bat (it won't last, but still!). Wish I knew/understood maths better to get the significance of Build's kick, but it was very cool nonetheless The tone was definitely very early Heisei, the protagonist amnesia and magical macguffin immediately giving off very strong Agito vibes. Very strong setup and characters, looking forward to more!

I think this is right, been awhile. Anyone looking for more/better info look up slope intercept and velocity.

I got no problem except the ending of episode 1 has no cliffhangers...it feels like: Okay, here is Kamen Rider Build. See you next week, maybe?
I just love Ex-Aid's use of cliffhangerfs on each episode. |

Not really a huge fan of the toy gimmick. I don't know, it just doesn't seem as fluid and quick as some of the other Rider shows.
But my thoughts echo a lot of other peoples when I say that my first impression of this show is a positive one. I just hope it doesn't lose steam and fizzle out towards the end... |

Damn. Colour me impressed! Sento's giving off fun vibes which is nice, and the world building with Pandora's Box has a lot of potential, wouldn't be surprised if Build ends up giving some social commentary later down the road. So far I want to know more about the characters, first episode and all, but I like how we have so much questions just waiting to be answered. Also, Sento can use the Fullbottles as themselves? They'll probably drop that soon but I wanna know more about that. Can anyone do it? And considering he has the same post Smash symptoms, does it mean he used to be one? If true, probably the Rabbit one, his hair boner looks like a bunny ear

I'll be honest, I went in with low expectations. Ghost gave off such good vibes but turned out to be a disappointment while Ex-Aid soared above despite having such unorthodox designs.
But Build has turned out to be good. Not great but just good. However, it shows potential to be great. First episodes are usually bogged down with character and setting exposition along with toy displays so they can be forgiven but Build manages to be interesting. Kiryuu Sento looks like an intriguing character. Obsessed with science, Rube Goldberg-esque devices and his past, he nonetheless does the heroic thing near the end of the episode. As for Banjou Ryuuga, it is nice to see Akaso Eiji again. I thought he was great in Amazons S2 as Nagase Hiroki. The rest of the cast looked a little bit cookie cutter to me. The store owner, the female lead, the evil guy who looks ominously from a high place and says ominous things are all run-of-the-mill by now but those can be forgiven as well. And finally, I really liked the secret door refrigerator for some reason. Seemed like a minor quirky thing but it stuck in my mind. Overall, not bad, Build, not bad at all. |

Mind, my understanding of a lot of geometry is solely from the angle of electrical work, so if it isn't trig or the most basic of slope equation work, I'm basically useless... It kind of looks like the graph for calculating voltage of capacitors in resistive-capacitive circuits, but you'd need someone with a broader understanding of geometry/physics to explain it better. Although, now I'm looking forward to how well they execute electricity/Nuclear abilities, just because of the fact that I'm in the Navy Nuc training pipeline and am learning all that. It'll be neat seeing how well it lines up. Last edited by LockonStratos; 09-04-2017 at 12:27 AM.. |

Coming off of a tremendous high with Ex-Aid, I went in watching this with very low expectations. Pretty damn good debut episode IMO. Pacing was what it needed to be, leaving much to be desired. I'm already feeling the W vibes from this being a really nice blend of a mystery show with just the right dash of comedy thrown into it. I'll be tuned into this one.
Also pretty happy Yukari Taki is in this, after watching her in the Accel movie and a few Ultraman Ginga episodes, I had a feeling she'd be back in a bigger Toku series. Last edited by KRFurious1; 09-04-2017 at 02:08 AM.. |
