Ok, that was....very subpar. Once again, we bring back all these Rangers just to have a sizeable number of them not getting much lines, not allowing some to be in-character (SO bummed they didn't have BOOM-BOOM! Gemma), and have a group fight that comes and goes so quickly....Don't get me wrong, this wasn't TERRIBLE perse, but....SIGH, I'm SO tired of seeing Power Rangers not being at the level it should be at this point in terms of production. Someone earlier mentioned how this was Saban actually putting effort into Ninja Steel for once....Well if THIS is their "putting effort," then I say GOOD RIDDANCE.
Now, I will say, as much as I hated the Tommy bias this Episode....DAT TOMMY FIGHT WAS AMAZING, and definitely the best thing of this episode!

So basically Beast Morphers is going to be like Wild Force, in the sense that it feels like a Saban season but actually Disney produced it.
I just hope the writing is solid. I really can't wait for Hasbro's handling since they seem to have so much faith on the franchise. Quote:
But during the transition to under Hasbro, a lot of Saban people came with the acquisition to help in the transition. So they'll still be handling Power Rangers for Beast Morphers and for likely the series after. With then whatever comes after that, being where any real shake up may happen. So while the Saban carryovers will have more freedom now, and less limitations because of the new bosses, any massive changes other than that won't really be felt for at least 2 more series. It'll gradually do an upswing though as the limitations Saban used as opposed to Hasbro will make some differences. So beast morphers should be good, but the one after will be better, and then the one after that we'll feel the full impact of the Hasbro acquisition. That being said, this anniversary episode is essentially an episode of Ninja Steel. Though they could have done it as an hour two parter aired on one night, they had to keep to confines of Ninja Steel itself as it is their show and will be included on that series sets for digital and home media. |

It was passed over initially because Saban saw Dinosaurs and Ninjas. Those two are kind of big-hitters in terms of toy sales, especially compared to spy themes.

Saying that a Power Rangers episode is cringy is like saying that water is wet
The actual crime of this episode is that Drayvon isn't a classic villain, since he basically has no reason to be here, especially with the episode using no Ninninger footage. C'mon, there is a new Goldar suit ready for you to use, use it already! |

If Kat was kidnapped, and Kat is JJ's mom, then why wasn't Tommy already looking for her?
And if Kat was captured when they went to get Tommy, doesn't that mean he turned invisible and abandoned her to get captured? Are we sure this Kat isn't an alternate world Kat? One where she never gave up her Turbo morpher to her successor? Also, while I like the Master Morpher, most past rangers don't really need it. MMPR to in space were the only ones that had carry over actors, and most of them gave up their morphers to their successors. So really, only MMPR to Zeo have more than one. Though Kat having a Turbo morpher throws that completely sideways too. |

I think this episode was far better than season 1 of ninja steel and first half of season 2. Maybe the writing will get better hear on out. I wish it was longer so they can clear up confusions and fill in missed opportunities etc. thanks tokunation for this review

This episode was pretty good, yeah. There actually is a lot of Ninninger footage used around the middle period, but I still wish Drayvon was someone more meaningful than just a random asshole. Also, its always bizarre to see Ninninger goofiness in Power Rangers.
In comparison to Legendary Battle, there were no moments here that felt absolutely insulting. Obviously getting more scenes for each of the Rangers would be great, but at least they got to do anything that wasn't in stock footage and they also didn't use the GODDAMN MASKMAN FINISHER TO BEAT THE VILLAIN But they did their best on a limited time and budget, and I'd rather take something that's short, okay, and original over 40 minutes of butchering the best finale of a television series ever under the guise of an anniversary celebration. Also seeing AbareBlack again is super good i love him Last edited by Bionichute; 08-31-2018 at 08:56 PM.. |

Yeah, come to think of it, this episode really feels like it's celebrating 25 years of Tommy instead of the franchise lol.

Loved it.
But is JJ Kats son all so? Are Kat & Tommy married? Why was Turbo pasted over in the Master Morpher? Other then all that. I Loved the 25th. May be JJ will be in Beast Morhers? |
