Not the biggest PR guy in the world but I really enjoyed this one. I liked that they didnt use any Kyoryuger material and that everything was pretty original. Even the things they burrowed like Keeper working together with the Dinosaurs and Tylers missing Dad were handled differently. The characters also look very promising and I bow to the guys who wrote the script cause for the first time in years the dialogue actually felt pretty authentic and dare I say normal.
The acting was a bit stale here and there and I didnt care for most of the villains voice acting besides Sledge. Sledge is just awesome and by far my favorite part about this episode. So yeah...I dug it and I´m actually looking forward to the enxt one. |

I don't know about the Keeper. He may come back. But something about that Kendall chick seems off. Maybe she is the Keeper in disguise? I mean he is an alien and whatnot. Or maybe she's working for the Keeper, that's why she's so snippy about Museum policy and Fossils? Because she knows what she's looking for?

Faith Restored. They didn't shout their names during the opening, the opening isn't a remix of the original theme. The cast can actually freaking act. The Keeper is like a little Jedi badass. And Poisondra.. I actually like her.
Judd Lynn, you may save this fandom yet. |

Watched the show last night and had time to collect by relevant thoughts. Keep in mind I generally think the franchise has been a joke for the better part of a decade in terms of story telling and acting.
- ADR is so much better than it's ever been in the last 5 years. Seriously can't believe everyone's voice doesn't sound totally disembodied. Still really sick of hearing the same generic laser sound effects for everything but the voice work has improved substantially. - Acting is definitely an improvement over the last 4 seasons too. These are actual people on screen and not cardboard robots. Everyone had a moment to shine this episode and if Koda continues to essentially be the american Nossan then I will continue to love him. - Shocked that the only stock Kyoryuger footage I could find in this episode was in the intro not the actual episode so I applaud that. However please please Keeper go away and never come back. Kill it with fire. I get that this is a kids show but I see no reason to have taken the appropriately heroic and awesome Torin suit and replace him as the mentor with that thing. But the story of him being chased by Sledge and his crew was quite nice. Also really cool to see the tons of monster cameos on Sledge's ship. I already saw Deathryuger's Deboss monster form in there which was cool. Overall that scene evoked feelings of Time Force for me. - Seriously Sledges collection of Asteroids killed off the dinosaurs? Essentially a geologist just killed off an entire species Speaking of it's interesting to see he and Poisandra be engaged. That will require a lot of original footage itself to illustrate that relationship. But given how much was available in this episode I'm guessing we'll be treated to much more from here on out. Honestly the overall episode was great. It's easily the single best episode of Power Rangers I've seen in a good 10 years. To me at least it's been an unbroken chain of disappointing seasons and half realized ideas since SPD. So this was incredibly refreshing to see. Bravo to Chip Lynn for making Power Rangers the fun show that it once was again. Hopefully he can keep up the momentum built by this episode.

This was definitely a great episode. All original footage, all the characters seemed amazing, and the villains were even interesting. I loved Airagons Squatt/Baboo like voice.
Best episode of the last few years.
