I watched a few episodes of Garo Vanishing Line and although the first episode kinda stank a bit imo, episodes 2 and 3 were great

I'm thinking about finally watching the Fate Stay series. I knew about the series since the mid-late 2000's, but never seen any of them. I may start watching Fate Zero since I was told it is a prequel and has no major heavy spoiler with the other series. Not to mention, you have the writer of Kamen Rider Gaim behind it. So it should be fun.
I binged all of it. The watch order is interesting though. It goes: Fate/Zero Fate Stay knight - Many skip this one. I tried to watch it but only got maybe 6 episodes in. This is the one you saw in the mid 2000s that probably turned you off to the series. Very few people enjoy this one. Didn't have much of a budget, and was the first attempt to adapt the VN. Fate Stay Knight Unlimited Blade Works - Series not movie, movie was done by the original FSK anime makers. The series is amazing outright. They had gotten a massive budget boost that helped them do the property justice. (Rumor has it that the person that helped with the budget on this is why FGO, Zero, Extra, Apocrypha, and Prisma exist. And helped grease the wheels for Nasu to start getting better figures made of the characters too.) Heaven's Feel With all three of those the same story but with slight choices differences that split their story paths into different outcomes. FSK is Artoria's story. UBW is Rin's story. Heaven's feel is Sakura's story. All take place after Fate/Zero. The original Visual novel was a choose your own adventure type, that where your choices led you to outcomes that pushed you towards certain romantic bonds. So the various series take those story paths. Then Apocrypha is an alternate universe one, but fills in story stuff on some characters from Fate/Zero and Fate Stay/UBW. Then there's Prisma which is another alternate world one, but also tends to be even more fun and lighthearted than the previous. It's kind of a what if that diverges from Fate Zero too, as its version of Fate Zero happened a little differently that stopped the Fate Stay/UBW/Heaven's Feel events from happening entirely. It's more magical girls as a spin on the Fate Series concepts. But also has some fun slice of life stuff and 'growing pains' type comedy elements about learning about the wider world. It has one movie so far "Oath under Snow" that takes place after series 3 but is a prequel movie to the series. Spoiler filled though, so watch series first then movie after series 3. Fate Grand Order isn't bad, but it's more promotional for the game. Grand Order is more all alternate universes/new universes, but it hasn't done much to cover everything yet since it's mostly game oriented. Fate Extra is okay, but really slow at the start. But it starts picking up later. It's based on the Marvelous game/the extra series. Kind of set in an alternate world, or far far future like Grand Order. Personally I recommend Fate Zero, UBW series, Apocrypha and Prisma. Heaven's feel if you want to see some of the alternate outcomes of the original VN. But I'm also extremely partial to Mordred and Kuro. And then FGO and Extra if you get hungry for more. Waiting for the next season of Prisma has been killer. Right now I'm watching SAO Alternative GGO, Magical Girl Site, Beatless, Darling in the Franx, and Caligula. Though GGO and MGS are the two I've been going weekly on while the rest are more "if I have time or am bored." Recently binged Killing Bites, And you thought there is never a girl online, as well as original SAO and movie. Which I want to binge that one again, but waiting for a friend to be free to watch it with. Oh and finished Future Diary finally, and am trying to get through the Live Action version of it. Mostly waiting on the next SAO series, Symphogear series, and Prisma series. But GGO has been epic so far. Symphogear is outright a massive recommended. That series was freaking awesome from the start, and never stopped getting more awesome. It's one giant fun ride that I'd recommend to everyone. It's built by geeks and the love for popculture shows. It references everything without being too overtly hamfisted. It's so much perfection of everything that's awesome of geek culture. Last edited by Librarian; 06-06-2018 at 08:10 AM.. |

For someone who is not super into soccer I have continued riding the Captain Tsubasa train. I hope they at least air up to the original run of the manga.

Devils Line is a good show so far but be warn there are sexual situations. And the show isn't an ecchi comedy but the scenes can be quite funny. But if you do watch it be warn of episode 8 as that episode gets very sexual. How sexual you might ask? Well the male vampire love interest as sensitive nipples and things will look like its getting kinky.

Re-watching Parasyte since one of the local libraries I go to has the entire series on DVD. At least now, I can stop procrastinating and finally watch the show's last two episodes once and for all. I will be watching it both in Japanese and in English.

I did enjoy season 2 of FLCL and the last episode last night was very good. I still enjoy the original FLCL more than FLCL Progressive because I like the hand drawn animation, the characters and the art direction better. I still enjoy FLCL Progressive and I give it a 7/10.

FLCL Progressive was certainly better than expected. It lacked the zaniness in terms of art direction of the original, but definitely felt like a spiritual successor in all the right places.
Alternative's first episode was pretty decent too, so here's hoping that turns out okay as well.

You all must go watch Happy Sugar Life and start at the 2:40 minute mark for a good reason. The opening scene might have a spoiler in it and well the opening is going to ruin the fun you will have with the show.
Once you finish the episode then you can watch the part I told you to skip if you like. |

Right now, I'm watching Mr. Tonegawa and I really like it so far. It may not be Kaiji season 3, but at least it's something. I do plan to finish Psycho Pass season 1 before July ends. I'm currently at Episode 12 of Psycho Pass.
