Ressha Gattai!
Today we've got a fairly simple gallery for you. The DX ToQ Buckle is a pretty straight forward release. Included is a basic buckle piece and DX belt strap set. Of course the straps are child sized so you'll need extenders if you want to try to wear it. The Buckle portion is made of a generic black back plate and the actual Rainbow Pass itself. The Pass is the main feature of the buckle. But "feature" is a generous term to use for this one. It can be removed via a clip in the buckle, and held? that's about it. In show the Rainbow Pass can be used to board the Rainbow line and is a bit like a smart phone touch screen, ala last years Mobuckle. However the toy has no functionality at all. There seems to be a slot that would allow you to slide cards in from the side to cover the face of the Pass. However no purpose has been revealed for this feature in show so for now it's pretty useless. As far as DX buckle/belt sets go, this one is a definite pass (haha! pun). But that's only if you're buying it for the pass. Which I did not. I specifically purchased this set, as well as the other DX role plays sets, in order to acquire the DX Resshas they come packed with. The ToQ Buckle set comes packed with the DX Shield Ressha. On it's own this ressha may not look like much. It's tiny, but it only appears so small because it's just the forward half of a train. The DX ToQ Oh components are composed of 2 cars each, and many of the upcoming additional Resshas will also be 2-car sets. However those included with role play devices are single car only. The Shield Ressha can functions just like any other Ressha in the line as far as connecting goes. In order to use it as an arm just pop off one of ToQ Oh's arms at the elbow socket, the appropriate one to remove is Pink Ressha. Then plug this on and fold the halves of it out to revealed the Shield Mode for Tqo Oh! And that about sums up this set, in more words than I'd originally intended. If you want all the DX Resshas, like myself, then buying a set like this is the only way to go. But that is the only reason I'd suggest buying it, other than it's pretty cheap price tag of about 1500-1800 yen most place. We'll be back in a few days with a review of the DX ToQ Blaster & DX ToQ Changer!

Sweet gallery! The buckle seems to be something cool to tote around in my pocket.

I don't think that foot is going to do you much good on the end of your arm, ToQ-Oh...oh wait, that's suppose to be a shield...

Aww the buckle is really disappointing. Considering the show gave it so much prominence, to hear that it does nothing is sad.
Shield Ressha is really cool, though, and I'd get it for that.

The Shield Ressha's kinda neat, more than I was expecting. I thought they were just gonna be static pieces, but now, I'm wondering what the Blast Ressha or whatever could have...

Scope Ressha from the ToQ Blaster does nothing. It's just a static piece that literally has a scope sculpted onto the front of it. It makes ToQ Oh's arm a giant gun more or less. But there aren't moving parts like there are on Shield. Same goes for the Energy Ressha included with the bazooka.

Energy is blatantly one of the 0 or 100 series Shinkansen. I hope that there's another way to get shield Ressha as I've no use for a belt, even if I want to cosplay as Tokkyu 2/Blue

For me, cosplay would be the main reason to pick a belt up.

Not denying that.
I guess I'll be picking me up a ToQ Blaster and Rainbow Pass Belt. Plus the Henshin device, but I'm going to go for that after some more Resshas come out. Hey Den-O, when Scope/Blaster arrives, can we see ToQOh Scope and Shield?
