Sadly they probably won't given that the domestic market is top priority and still going relatively strong.

But the real "mature factor" people are talking about comes from the show not being strangled by constant toy ads. None of this is to say modern shows aren't good, but they're way more dictated by Bandai, and thus targeted toward a younger toy-buying audience. |

Yes. And in those days, Kamen Rider show absolutely tackled more mature themes and played with far darker genre conventions than they do today.

That was awesome, i would be ok with the team being the main fouce with Omega joining them. I thought Alpha was going to be more like Gills, im glad hes this BAMF of a fighter. =D

True, but the show is not built around showcasing the belts. We see one belt, for less than a minute, and never in close up.
Compare that to any KR show since Decade, where it's all: "hey, look at close up shots of our belts for 15 minutes an episode! And listen to all the sounds they make! Also, buy all the weapons and action figures! Here's 136 episodes where all we do is show you the belt and the form changes and weapons! Spend all your money on this screaming plastic trash!" |

I don't want Kamen Rider to suddenly turn into GARO or something, but a more mature, less toy-oriented show with a somewhat darker tone is such a refreshing concept for Rider. Really liked episode 1, definitely hooked on this. |

Really liked episode 1 and it's sort of horror-ish, early Heisei vibe! I wonder how Alpha got his belt though to willingly transform and how Omega will get his. Maybe the chief scientist lady hands them out to certain Amazons? This episode focused more on the strike team and I'm sorta glad since it looks like that they're taking their time to flesh everything out about the main riders and the team as well.
Also liked that they made the mole Amazon an ally or at least a good guy in this. I really like the rest ride team as a whole, I hope the Dragonfly Amazon one doesn't get killed off too early. Aside from the spider ones and the bat Amazon's weird cape, I actually dug the monster suits a lot. Definitely interested to see what other Amazon's will look like and how people seem to be turning into them. |
