Just finish watching the first ep raw.
Neo has some back story at the start which shows he was a kid and than save by the team. The first fight with Neo was alright. A lot of people are back from the team from season one along with new members as well. Crow Amazon is very dark and creep in a badass way. The second fight at the wedding was badass with everyone being there at the same time. I think Neo will have more than one weapon kinda like how Omega had two to three weapons. Overall the first ep had me wanting more will have to see what the subs say for now off to a very great start. Damn I miss this show so much can't wait to see more. |

Simple answer: Jin picks at his wounds.
So I watched the raw last night. I like what I'm seeing, but subs are very much needed. 1. Crow Amazon is badass. 2. Neo has a cool sword, though it looks uncomfortable. Not sure if we've seen that sword in previews. 3. Alpha and Omega are not in the episode, which is probably a good thing for new characters. 4. So need subtitles for a lot of things. Also, I don't really like Die Sit Down from a purely aesthetic stand point. The flow of the song just feels janky. I do agree with you on the ending theme. It's not as good as Armour Zone. |

Watched the first episode and I'm....half impressed? I kinda liked it, didn't really think much of any of the characters yet but there's a lot of story groundwork that I really enjoyed.
While it's clear that the writers are going for a kind of parallel between season 1's Extermination Squad and Team X, it doesn't really change that they aren't all that likeable or fun to watch. Not really much to say on Chihiro yet as while Iyu is quite cool, she's so painfully cliche I thought I was watching anime for a second. Not a fan of Neo's henshin either. I mean it looks cool but it's so distracting I'm suspicious that it's going to be intentionally used to obscure fights. Also no wonder Overtime didn't want to sub the belt, damn thing is completely unintelligible

So yeah, Episode 1 didn't really wow me as much as Amazons did...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Getting the negatives out of the way first: - Dear god, everything involving Team X is terrible. From their dancing in the side-lines of Chihiro's debut fight as Amazon Neo, to their "personalities" being exactly like those assholes I had to sit next to in highschool. - Neo's debut fight was kinda lame compared to Alpha's or even Omega's debut fights. I don't know exactly why, but I think the perfect example is when we see Neo kill the policeman but then he proceeds to continue slashing at the corpse with the dialogue implying he's going too far, but Neo does the slashing so lazily I almost assumed he was checking to see if the body was actually dead rather than striking it out of anger. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On to the positives: - Interesting to see the original members of the extermination squad go different ways, even after they sorta got back together at the end of M - The dynamic with Team X always having an Amazon with a better detection abilities vs Kurosaki's team having an Amazon that can't feel pain is also really good. - I was kind of worried how they'd handle Iyu when it comes to fighting, and thank god she's fully competent for a purposefully untrained fighter. - Speaking of fighting, the second fight at the church was much better. - The overall setup for the rest of the season is pretty good. |

I watched it raw so some of these probably will be answered already
First impressions: -Slightly closer to current Kamen Rider seasons than season 1 -"Pretty boy lead" Chihiro -What's the point of Chihiro's team? They just stood there unless I missed something- one of them even got mad at Chihiro -_- - New hunting team members remind me of drug addicts that the corporation randomly hired - Idk but Neo feels too technologically different compared to Omega and Alpha (probably because I'm not a fan of the belt, I don't like New Omega either, looks like it came from the A squad from SPD) - Amazons in the first season seem more "natural" while these remind me of "kaijin of the week" in terms of their designs, more like I'm watching orphenochs -Crow Amazon is badass af, woulda been cool if she was a mysterious villain instead, that creepy choir music is gonna haunt me later tonight -I like the ending theme...not as cool as ARMOUR ZONE though Not entirely hooked but Season one didnt really hook me till the third episode *Flying pillow feathers while Haruka joins in PLUS cool ost" Last edited by Kamen Rider Exile; 04-09-2017 at 10:28 PM.. |

I enjoyed the first episode since it really had me feel like I’m not only watching episode 1 of season two but also just episode 14. I think they did a great job of getting me back into this world.
I think the action was cool, I liked both fights in this episode, and the suits are great. Character-wise we don’t have anything to really care about right now but neither did we by the first episode of season 1 so I'm willing to give it some time. If you don’t understand what Team X’s purpose is and if you hate them then you actually do understand what their purpose is. They want you to hate these characters as much as possible since they will die in the next episode. I mean I don’t know if they will, but the kid in the blue jacket turned into an Amazon and is eating the one in the red jacket in the preview so there you have it. They will obviously kill off Team X in episode 2 so Chihiro can join the next iteration of the cleaners or something. So they want you to know right away how shitty these guys are and how Chihiro does not belong there. |
