It definitely deserves to win in the cinematography department.

Agreed.
Otherwise, I don't think it's really all that deserving of the other nominations. Especially the music. The new music was phenominal, but the use of the old music without remastering or cleaning it up in any way was not only a clash of tones, but just sounded awful. I also didn't find any of the acting that great, especially the clunky Engrish. |

It is worthy of such acclaim.
They crushed it. Even if they don't win all of these nominations I applaud their efforts though honestly I wish they can win as many as they can.

For the music, they wanted to create a retro feel for the movie and that why they used the same tracks for 60s classic.
Awards shouldn't be won for good intentions. They tried to have their cake and eat it, and it took me out of the movie. |

I loved the music, but come on, they did the music as cheap as possible. I don't mean just using old Godzilla tunes, I mean even using the tracks from Evangelion and a few of the composers other anime works.

Yes, but the girl was supposed to be an American born citizen, yet, the one director dude spoke better English than her. She could have just been an American actress and had a translator with her to make it more believable.
