is there a name for live action giant robot series in the tokusatsu style? i'm thinking like if Pacific Rim was done as a tokusatsu series, or if they were to do a live action Gundam, what genre would it be under? (ie: Kyouryu Sentai Zyuranger and Gosei Sentai Dairanger are Super Sentai, and Space Sheriff Shaider and B-Fighter Kabuto are Metal Hero).

The terminology is Kyodai Hero, which literally means Giant Hero. It applies to things like Ultraman and Kamen Rider J, as well as giant robos like Daitetsujin 17 and it even applies to Godzilla. Basically anything as long as it's big or becomes big.

I was going to guess Mechasatsu, lol. If that's not a thing, I should copyright it, haha.
