A personal favorite song of mine is Digimon Saver's Believer.
I'm not sure why. It's such an un-astounding song, having weak vocals and a completely blah music, but I just enjoy it for some reason.

Confession time:
I LIKED Frontier. I'm not blind to its flaws but I was thrilled that they tried to move the story in new ways by allowing the kids to actually participate in fights... until that kinda got dropped during the final arc(s). I also believe Frontier has the best English theme song of any season, stacking up well against the forgettable Data Squad jingle and the ear-sodomy electrobuzz used in the first three years. |

Frontier's flaws were too much for me.
The first half felt a lot like Adventure, which was fine, but then it spent so long setting up and developing Koichi, and that was fine too. But then they beat Cherubimon. And everything just too a dive right after that. Takuya and Koji kept getting power after power after power, Koichi went from major plot point to background character, the other armors, despite being sentient and merely corrupted, were never used again, and Loweemon and JagerLoweemon participated in so few fights I only know the name because he was playable in a Digimon fighting game for the GBA. The theme was good. The voicing was fine. The overall story was good. But they just kept tripping over their own feet, making mistake after mistake.

I actually managed to convince one of my friends at show who vaguely remembered the show to watch the first five seasons and he enjoyed each and every one of them (again, some more than others). That is exactly the power of this franchise, every season has something to enjoy, whether it's an awesome storyline like the later half of Tamers, a kick ass fight scene like Omnimon vs Diaboromon or even a quick gag like Christopher Walken Icedevimon. No season is perfect (even Tamers has it's issues) but no season is garbage either. I would like to hope that more people can understand that and (going to use a pun here) take off their nostalgia goggles so that they give the more underrated seasons a fair chance and not bash them just because "IT'S NOT THE ORIGINAL!" and so they stop kissing adventure and 02's figurative asses by labeling them as "THE BEST SEASONS EVAR!" But oh well, what can you do? |

The only thing I remember from Data Squad on the other hand is "Citramon."
