And from what I gather it seems to work only on CRT TVs so another reason to throw away digital TVs and go CRT. As for RX's henshin belt the Sunriser, they say it has a special gimmick called motion control where by shaking a wrist bracelet peripheral that comes with it triggers the gimmick(it resembles the wristwatch thing on RX's suit).

Yeah, the belt I was talking about is called Terebi Pawaa henshin belt or TV Power henshin belt. This particular version is famous because thanks to a sensor thingy inside the toy that triggers its gimmicks when the rapid flashy scenes play during the show. Matter of fact someone posted this clip to show how it works.
And from what I gather it seems to work only on CRT TVs. I'm not gonna lie though, the gimmick is pretty cool. Just imagine standing in front of the TV as a kid and your belt goes off when Black transforms in the show, that sounds rather fun. Getting it to work again after the show stopped airing does not though |

Wow... that's generally fascinating, thanks for posting that. Nice bit of trivia too, now I finally know why the Henshin-scenes are so headache-inducing.

Getting it to work again after the show stopped airing does not though I bet Bandai probably could do interactive toys such as these without any potential hazards though with the tech that is floating around now if they put their mind to it(yes, I am quoting Marty freakin' McFly ).

sure all you would have to do is make it go off to a combination of high frequency sound tons that a tv can make and we don't really detect
or you could make it activate based on any number of other elements |

Pokemon released Z Ring toys that react to when you use a Z-Move in the games so it shouldn't be too hard

I do hope they include more gimmicks that interact with the TV shows in future rider shows now that I look back at that Kamen Rider BLACK henshin belt.

the problem these days is their more concerned with making as many toy add ons as possible. Gaim and ex aid are a good example tons of lock seeds and other transformation devices were used only a hand full of times and then never again

One thing I miss from the older Rider shows is less censorship. Japan's standers have changed what is okay to show on Sunday mornings for a long time.

Also new time slot means more they can do, it's only 2 hours though and still in the morning so they might have barely noticeable changes
