And no, I don't mean "girls don't like conflict," that's bubkis. I mean "boys on average prefer physical conflict and girls on average prefer social conflict." Boys love seeing stufc like the Duel of Melons because it's an intense awesome battle between two armored warriors but girls would be more invested in the reason WHY the Kureshima brothers were fighting, why they were fighting and how they are handling the Cain and Abel conflict. Obviously over time kids mature and can appreciate the social interaction (men watching SoL and mahou shojo anime) and conflict for the sake of conflict because it kicks ass (a gamergirl going full agro and pwning n00bs in her Overwatch death match livestream). But initially, kids naturally gravitate to their gender's particular conflict camp and you can't really forcibly change that. Just make something good that bridges the gaps and hope for the best. Ask Matrixbeast, he knows that idea well~ |

THANK YOU!!! Seriously, I've been trying to figure out a way to elaborate that exact point for years now. Just couldn't figure out the right way to put it, but dividing the forms of conflict is perfect. Men and women, when reduced to their most basic instinctual and physiological states, are different, but these differences are not absolute nor as cut and dried as some on both sides of the aisle would like to portray them as.
Of course, I'm the guy who says Naoto and Kanji from Persona 4 are absolutely terrible representations of LGBT characters, assuming that they are respectively Trans and Gay, which I don't for reasons I can elaborate on, for years and have only recently realized how to express that idea. Of course, I'm biased in that I think they're more interesting as cis and straight, but I still think the reasoning stands up to examination. Now excuse me, I've got fluffy romances to read and, attempt, to write. |

weeeellll....back to the details of the episode.
they really dump some info on us to the point the opening wasn't shown again. It's awesome they do this for 'climax' episodes. First for Lazer's death and now Para-Dx's introduction. Awww...Hiiro is actually not a jerk after all and does see Emu as a comrade a tiny bit. Taiga seems to have lighten up a little as well due to him cooperating with Brave but maybe because the situation calls for it...I dunno. Hiiro attacking Emu maybe because he assumed Emu was a Bugster due to his personality change and maybe by fighting...he may be able to force the Bugster out? You can see Hiiro seem disturbed by the revelations at the end of the episode. |

Anyway, as much as I'd love to discuss two of my favorite characters... Really, I'm just waiting for episode 16 at this point. Can't get here soon enough. |

So lemme see if i'm tracking correctly
Emu believes that 16 years ago, as a child, he got life saving surgery from the head of the health department He also believes that six years ago, as a teen/student, he blacked out during a game tournament and "dreamed" of that surgery However Dan tells Taiga (and Taiga's research apparently reveals) that Emu actually was the first person infected with the bugster virus during a surgery six years ago. In that operation, the head of the next genome corporation was in charge, and the whole business got wiped out when the operation went sideways. So: Did the surgery sixteen years ago not happen, as it was just a fabrication to cover up the busted operation by Next gene?

No, the thing 16 years ago definitely happened. It's just that since Emu doesn't know the operation from 6 years ago happened, when he remembers it, he believes he must be thinking of the other operation, which is the only one he thinks he has had.
