Many posts here throughout the years, and on fansites, and blogs, and social media have users posting exceptional screenshots or screengrabs or captures to use as explanations or for fun. Many reviewers produce exceptional images!
The kicker is how to accomplish this well. I myself have tried many different tactics, but they're substandard by comparison. Share your approach or suggestions here. |

Have a high quality video. Hit the "prt scr" button on your keyboard. Paste it into paint. Save it.

I'd use VLC's snapshot. The frame-by-frame function also helps getting the perfect moment (like the very start or the end of a shot).

This symbol. The interface might need to be customised if it's not there, but that should be easy.
