I wonder if I could get some help here. So I just recently got into Kamen Rider with W, and my first ever Kamen Rider anything was MG Figurise Skull. Great Goddamned model, aweosme action figure. Now I want to get all the other W models. Now HLJ seems my best bet, so come Febs I'll be grabbing Cyclone Joker and maybe Fang Joker, then Accel for sure and after that Luna Trigger and Heat Metal. I got it asll planned out. Now here's my question: where's everyone else?
Did MG Figurise just stop? Where's Cyclone Joker Extreme? Or Joker? Or any of Accel's other forms? Seems like they got so far in but kinda just stopped. I saw they did OOO and a couple of the original Riders, but nothing else. |

It did just kind stop. It's a shame too, because it seemed like they'd planned out at least one more OOO form, as the Tatoba model had a streamlined parts-swap system in place, but I'd imagine sales weren't all that great for the Kamen Rider stuff. I know a new ~6-inch line has come out under Figurerise, but so far we've only seen Tiger, Bunny and the Double Chaser in that line. However, it's fairly new, so there's a chance that Kamen Rider will reappear under that. It's doubtful though.
Oh, forgot about Accel World. Some stuff from that also appeared in Figurerise 6. Last edited by Brainchild; 01-20-2013 at 08:35 PM.. |

After the Tiger & Bunny kits, I think this line is dead
It's a shame because the rider kits released up to this point were fantastic. I would have loved to see more come out too. Maybe eventually work back to some other showa riders outside the original series. I have to imagine these sold pretty well too. And come to think of it J would have been awesome in this scale.

Well these are plamo so there is always that possibility that Bandai may continue them later. For Figurerise it seems like they have 1 dedicated team that just works on 1 license at a time. For example it's been a while since we have seen One Piece and DBZ Figurerise models. However once Kamen Rider Figurerise were out, there may have not been any other Figurerise models being worked on. Then they shifted to Tiger and Bunny.
Bandai's attitude with plamo by their Hobby Division is much different than their Collector's Division(Tamashii) with toys. Plamo can have multiple production runs over the years and some continue years later.

Just a side note, I was able to find a couple of Kamen Rider W Figurerises at Hobby Lobby a while back, so maybe other hobby shops would have them. It surprised the heck out of me.

A local hobby shop is selling a Rider 1 for 40$…and it's been tempting me for the longest time.
I have luna Trigger, two Cyclone Jokers, and a Skull which I failed to spray paint and they're fun little models, the only part that's worrysome though are the hands, I seem to have a hard time with them, scared of breaking them. Once it starts getting warmer, I plan on turning the extra Cyclone Joker into a Joker, might make a Cyclone too. |

After I collect them all I plan to get another skull and Cyclone joker to mod into a Joker.

It looks like Skull doesn't include the Joker pattern to go on the right side of the chest, and the piece that's include with Cyclone Joker is only meant for one side. I still haven't figured out how to replicate the pattern yet, but it'll probably involve scribing them myself, a skill which I'm currently don't have. |

I thought one of Figurerise kits, I'd assumed Skull, came with a head that you could use to customize into a Joker. It's been a couple years so it's hard to recall, but I know I saw a weird all-black Double head with cloudy gray eyes, a work-in-progress, from either 2chan or one of the usual Japanese reviewers. Could've easily been an unfinished custom, but I remember people talking about that head too...
Wish I had the image of it.
