First off I'm a Casual PR Fan. I only ever watched MMPR, and bits and pieces of other PR seasons. Ryusoulger is the 1st Super Sentai I've watched completely. Their fighting style seems way more intense and downright Brutal then I remember MMPR ever being. The only fight I think is comparable is the Koragg(Nick) vs Leanbow fight in Mystic Force. I Love These Types of Fights and want to see more of them in PR.
Can anyone suggest Fights in Past PR Seasons that are the same or similar? Is Ryusoulger Different or has PR/SS always had fights like that? |

One of my favorite fight scenes from the franchise was Power Rangers in Space, episode 26: The Secret of the Locket. It featured an extremely intense battle between Andros and Ecliptor, and the best of all, a villain VS villain fight scene.
Another would be the Titanium Ranger introduction arc in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, particularly the fight between Titanium VS Pink Ranger, as well as when Titanium Ranger eventually becomes good and beats the three monsters of the week. While obviously Titanium Ranger is a fan favorite because he's the first US exclusive Ranger, the fight scenes really helped making him look badass. When it comes to Power Rangers personally I really prefer the action directing from In Space to Wild Force, imo the best era of Power Rangers when it comes to everything. My gripe with Disney seasons is that they become too obnoxious especially when blasters are firing but only hits the ground because they only have sparks on grounds. And that is why Sentai's fight scenes are a lot different, because they have access and experience of sparks on bodies, so I guess that is what you meant by fights being more brutal. It does help that Japanese children programs are a lot different than American children programs, where Japanese violence have a bit more freedom, and Power Rangers often have to become childish because American (and New Zealand) parents kept complaining that the show is too violent.

Thanks, I'm going to check out those fights In Space and Light Speed Rescue.
The Ryusoulger Fights I'm thinking of specifically are the Pricious vs All 7 Ryusoulgers, and the 3 Group Fight with Pricious, Saden, Yabbasword, Gunjoj. Maybe it's because the Rangers main weapon is a sword and no ranged weapon except Gold that makes the Fight Scenes so intense? Now that I think about it, Dino Fury will be the 1st Dino Season were the Rangers have No Side Arm right? Last edited by Deku; 11-15-2020 at 04:14 AM.. |

Yeah I know US TV standards are famously very conservative whereas although Britain still is a bit at least we had the odd thing for kids like Grange Hill or Byker Grove which wasn't all happy ever after type thing! What I've always wanted to see more of in tokusatsu is night fights and fights in unusual places but I suppose it's more tricky to film!

If so, wouldn't Lost Galaxy, Wild Force, Mystic Storm, Jungle Fury, and Ninja Steel qualify? If the context is instead, "no weapon of any sort shared by each member", then Jungle Fury might be first, but only until they obtain their Jungle Master Mode and each of the main three have claws! S.P.D. might be a close second since Red has blasters which aren't duplicated by any other Ranger, but this would be rectified with SWAT Mode. Lost Galaxy had Transdaggers which could assume in number of modes and Quasar Sabers shared by the whole team. Wild Force had Crystal Sabers and individual weapons. Mystic Force had staffs which could transform into weapons (for the guys), and Ninja Steel had a morpher which could act like a claw or a dagger or a bow (Ninninger was different in that the katana was the morpher). |

I meant only Dino Seasons with No Side Arm aka Gun. I know other PR seasons had no Side Arms. I'm still focusing on Intense, Brutal, or Epic Fights from any season. I want to know how Ryusoulger/Dino Fury compare to Past Season Fights.
Also I want to see Every In Suit Fight that was in Ryusoulger In Dino Fury. I hope they don't cut down or edit those scenes more then they have to Last edited by Deku; 11-15-2020 at 05:54 AM.. |

One fight that will always have feels from me is the Megazord fight in “Ninja Quest Part 1” (MMPR season 3), because it’s not only one of the battles where the villains win outright (A 5-on-2 Handicap Match), but the first time we see the Rangers lose their powers AND their Megazords destroyed and literally fall to pieces.

I've watched all the Fights suggested and I've notice the major difference between Ryusoulger/Dino Fury to Past Seasons is the use of Special Effects during the Fights. In Suit fights and Zord Fights in Ryusoulger look like anime fight scenes compared to Past Season. They use a lot more energy slash attacks where the others use just sparks on the body attacks. Does Kirameger use just as many special effects in it fights?

Kiramager is... possibly comparable, but I definitely see what you mean by Ryusoulger standing out as far more intense. Every fight scene it had was just so explosive; they did not do half-measures on these.
