Holy s***, it's Venjix! — the reaction I would've had if not for spoilers.
I just checked Evox's page on the Wiki after watching the recent episode and it's humorous how they put a spoiler warning even though the page is already labeled Venjix Virus. Despite knowing what was coming though, the reveal had great execution and I think it's smart how Venjix used snake DNA to regenerate from fragmented data, since that's an ability snakes use to grow back their bodies. That's a much better explanation for the animal DNA than the weird side effects of the Rangers' mutations. That whole sequence where Nate and the other Rangers were chasing Evox through the base with blasters to purge him from the computers reminded me a lot of the last level of Black Ops 3 and Corvus. Actually, this isn't the first time the show made me think about that game either. There are a lot of similarities. I think it's smart and also cool how they acknowledged the connection between Dr. K and Nate to bring up the moral from RPM that even cataclysmic mistakes can be atoned for. I wonder if Dr. K was reminded of her close friends Gem and Gemma in Ben and Betty. Enjoyed that cameo a lot!

Dr. K mentioned that she was mentioned in the Grid Battleforce "Ranger History Class" in "Volume 5, Chapter 176." As a history major, I took a lot of classes, but never one like that. Don't know how they decided on the numerical classification, but sign me up! Given what Dr. K has Ben and Betty do, it's somewhat interesting that she said her little baggy contains an "organic substance found only on my planet." So, the RPM Dimension contains leaves/plants which aren't found in the Prime Dimension? Fascinating. |

While I haven't seen RPM(yet) using it as a tie in for Beast Morphers has been well done.

This wasn't released on an anniversary year, and yet Beast Morphers was more of an anniversary season than Megaforce.

It all comes to a close!
Did Beast Morphers stick the landing? It's dicey, but acceptable. I believe there is a reason for each Legendary Weapon choice: - RPM Cloud Hatchet: It's RPM 2.0 and Evox is Venjix! - Dino Charge Dino Saber: They already did a crossover with them, so it makes sense. - Ninja Super Steel Blaster: It immediately precedes Beast Morphers and it was an available prop and it gives the show a chance to use a cockpit weapon in the field. - S.P.D. Delta Enforcer: 2020 is the 15th Anniversary of Space Patrol Delta. - Lightspeed Thermo Blaster: 2020 is the 20th Anniversary of Lightspeed Rescue. - It's clear they used Messiah Reboot for the final form of Evox, but what's with that added energy shimmer on his head? They went to the trouble of including it, but I don't see a reason why. - Despite Venjix/Evox status as one of the longest-lasting and hardest villains to defeat in the franchise, the trimmed Go-Busters footage used here felt more lackluster than RPM. Even Go-Busters had more impact! - Colonel T. Returns!!! 'Nuff said. - They clearly didn't like the idea of Blaster Morphers as they had him insert a Morph-X Key into his wrist com at the end! They've been doing it all season. - For a city that was so determined to use Grid energy in the beginning, they sure moved on fast! Is the moral supposed to be "Always listen to Mayors who name-drop Super-Villains!"? - They definitely didn't just set things up for a perfectly logical addendum later on! Nah. Scrozzle definitely won't show up again! It's not like Dino Fury won't force a crossover with the most recent entry for no reason...is there? So, what are we left with now?
