........Yeah it's been a while
Dekaranger Robo Like with Ohranger Robo, the name Dekaranger Robo sounds a little weird to me, having the name of the team in the name of the mecha. Aside from that little nitpick, Dekaranger Robo is pretty cool. The use of white and the siren details helps make the mecha look cohesive. Said details also nicely emphasize the police motif and I like that it's a consistent trait throughout most of Dekaranger's mecha's. The visor on the helmet is a neat detail and the amount of weapons it has is pretty impressive for a Sentai mecha, from a sword, a hand gun to a giant pair of hand cuffs. DekaBase Robo DekaBase Robo is a pretty sweat carrier mech and all three of its modes are solid. The base mode suitably looks like an actual base, mostly thanks to those window details that look quite nice. The crawler form is a little basic but the shape of it along with some of the details like the dog head does make it look convincingly enough as a moving fortress. The mecha form does maybe have a bit too many colours and details going on but on the whole it still looks cool. It's got really nice proportions that emphasizes its large size while still looking normal and I like how the chest piece is created with the dog head splitting in half. DekaBike Robo DekaBike Robo is just sort of alright to me. The use of silver is a nice touch as it shows off DekaBreak's more elite status and the helmet visor is pretty neat and fits the motocycle motif it has. Having the fist form the chest however looks very iffy and it just kind of looks like they had no idea where to put them. Dekaranger Robo being able to ride the bike form is however a pretty cool feature. Super Dekaranger Robo I quite dig this combination. It has a nice mix of all the design elements present in both mechas while at the same time having some its own elements such as the chest plate and the head. Dekaranger Robo's legs being repurposed as the arms is a cool idea but it probably could have been cleaned up a bit better since the feet are still sticking out. I do however quite like the gold fists and how the body of DekaBike Robo has become a thruster pack on the back. DekaWing Robo There's a lot aesthetic elements about DekaWing Robo that I quite like. It looks quite a bit sleeker than the other Dekaranger mechas, fitting for its jet motif. Most notably however is its primarily black colour scheme, a stark contrast from the other mechas whom had varying degrees of white. It's a cool aesthetic choice to show the mechas more elite status, since it was made for the swat modes. Plus the other cool thing about it is..... DekaWing Cannon It's a mecha that can recombine to form a giant gun. Do I need to explain how cool of a concept that is. The fact that there's an actual trigger built into the design is such a cool detail. Dekaranger Robo Full Blast Custom The movie exclusive form, adding a new chest piece, a shield and a giant cannon. Rather simple, but rather effective. I wouldn't mind seeing more attachments like this for Dekaranger Robo in the main series. Last edited by Byg42; 02-23-2018 at 08:41 AM.. |

I think the Tategami Lioh from Go-Butsers is inspired from Dekabike Robo especially because Tagami Lioh has bike mode like Dekabike Robo.

I dig Dekaranger's mechs a lot, but the individual pieces were always incredibly underwhelming to me.
Anyway, like I said, I still dig the mechs a lot, with the default Dekaranger robo probably being the weakest, unfortunately. It's chunky look doesn't do it for me, and no amount of CGI flips will change that. The others are all pretty great, however. Dekabase is probably the best carrier mech we've had, and Dekawing's sleekness is just too cool to ignore.

Just remembered how awesome Patstriker is. The individual vehicles are well-designed and Dekaranger Robo feels balanced design-wise. Super kinda feels overdone but acceptable. Dekabike reminds me of Signalman's robot from Carranger and having it be a literal bike for Dekaranger Robo is a fun idea. Dekawing Robo has GogoV vibes notably their trains because of the black based paint job and looks nice as well. Deka Base Robo is definitely a step-up from its predecessors I think because of how it refuses to be a immobile lego block that stores the other smaller robots.

Dekawing Robo/SWAT Megazord is one of my top 5 favorite Megazords. Easy choice there.
Also one of the deluxe Megazords I regret never having.
