Is Kiramager the first time the Sentai Rangers had switched their bodies with their Machine Mechas? If not, then what is/are the Super Sentai Series that had similar experiences when it comes to mecha-human switch? It looks like Garza and Yodon had won over the Kiramagers and their Calamentality has invaded the Earth. Poor Kiramagers! Where are Takamichi, Mabushina and Muryou Hakataminami? Lots of people are either making fun of them or are jealous against them. Everything is so disastrous! Funny, but angry because of that Garza's victory. About them, Juuru's voice is Fire's, Tametomo's voice is Shovellow's, Sena's voice is Mach's (who is a male), Shiguru's voice is Jetter's and Sayo's voice is Helico's. What happened to the Crystal Quest for the 3rd Crystalian Giant/Mecha Robot? When will it start?

As far as I can remember this probably is the first. Although in Shinkenger they did have a body-switching episode where they would get switched with inanimate objects. Takeru/Shinken Red was a manekineko, Ryunosuke/Shinken Blue was a peeing fountain statue, Mako/Shinken Pink was an electric fan, and Genta/Shinken Gold was... watch Shinkenger episode 27 it would be a waste to spoil Genta's.

Body swap episodes are practically a staple of Sentai. They’ve been done in Abaranger, Dekaranger, Magiranger, Go-Onger, Gokaiger, Kyoryuger, ToQger and Lupinranger vs Patranger. And that’s just the ones I can list off. Go-Busters and Ninninger has “kind of” examples, with the former having a monster who could change appearances and the latter having a monster who could steal personality traits and the attempt to get Kasumi’s back resulted in them going to Takaharu.

Yup! That was pretty much perfect!
And I mean, wow, did this one more than meet my expectations. The central conceit of the episode, right out of the gate, is just amazing as a launch pad for comedy. It should be obvious an episode about the Kiramagers swapping bodies with their own sentient rocks is going to be hilarious, and yet, this isn't actually an idea Sentai has really done before, to my knowledge? So once again, it goes to show how important the Machines are as characters to this series, on a level that far surpasses most if not all other Sentai with living mecha. Plus, of course, the comedy here is stellar. Pretty much the whole episode is this surreal riot from the moment we see Jouki dancing around like a fool, and the mileage it gets out of the premise from there is just insane. The amount of joy I get from simple things like Jetter always having his arms swung out like he needs to pretend to be a plane to balance is indescribable. It's this all-out assault of constant sight gags mixed with more straightforward setup/punchline jokes, and they just keep landing. Where the episode went above and beyond for me was by having such a consistent theme that leads up to a really pretty considered message. It'd be enough to just use this as a goofy opportunity to explore the characters a bit, but the story nicely builds to this unified point about the importance of providing emotional support and encouragement when you want someone to succeed, and it ties the whole thing together. I expected maybe a quick mini lesson particular to Juuru and Fire to give the episode a little bit of depth, but it goes a lot broader, really living up to that simple episode title, and it comes out better for it, I think. It's also a moral that seems to be pretty clearly aimed at more than just the kids watching, and there's something I always respect about that sort of thing. Seriously impressive work all around, this episode. Kaori Kaneko is pretty much in the same boat as Ayumi Shimo at this point when it comes to being a fairly new writer for Sentai that's quickly creating quite the track record. As much as I love Arakawa, I'm totally fine with him taking as long as he does to write episodes knowing the people holding down the fort in-between are all doing such great work.

Aside from the kid again, this was an unique body swap episode except they missed opportunity do more suitless scenes with the other 4 like pre henshin roll call. It's nice to see them becoming the stone and mecha to fight even if its not along side takamichi.

Gotta wonder when yodonheim emperor or garza make a bigger move. This feel like lupin and other season such as zyuoh or toqger dragging out stakeless fights. This show is on a budget with reusing the same motw small and giant suit as well. By now we should we getting somewhat of a mid season climax soon.

emperor yodon being a nonentity is both kinda bad but also kind of funny, and crunchula is great but he's not actually doing much aside from hamming it up. i don't really get the argument of sentai villains not doing a lot, because part of the reason i watch it is for the monster of the week, so if the motw is good them im good with the episode |
