Though, in all comedy, Reika Shindai basically said "Red sus", and everyone else believed her. It took White to vote against her, Blue, Yellow, Black, Pink (Magenta), and Lime/Green. Purple was already voted out and Orange isn't even in the game. You can probably guess who each color represents.
That's brilliant. Thank you for doing this.

Is anyone else kind of confused by Saikou's color scheme? The yellow I understand because of his golden motif, and red and purple are based on the comic book hero, but they could have made the comic book hero any colors, so why red and purple? And why on earth is the WRB lime green and orange!?
It is interesting that the X-Swordman on the cover is styled like a samurai instead of like the comic hero. And it's a left-slot WRB, so I wonder what mythical creature it's based on... I know Japanese folklore has a whole class of youkai based on living objects (tsukumogami), are any of those based on swords or samurai armor?

A lot of old super heroes and cartoon character colors were dictated on random stuff like the cost of the ink for the comic or colors on the action figure.
For example, the original Gundam was mostly all white and it was changed to Red, Yellow, and Blue both because those colors would make it more interesting to children, and because those were common colors used in toy manufacturing. Bright nonsensical colors were synonymous with comic book heroes because it helped them stand out on the page. I don't think there's too much to read into it here. Like why was Nin-nin/Comic purple and yellow? It's just part of the design language of Kamen Rider.

What if Saikou's alternate forms become powerups for our other Saber characters when they inevitably working together? I could see Buster using Saikou as a shield and as unlikely as they are to actually team up, I could see Kenzan using Saikou as a leg.
The thought just occurred to me after seeing pictures for the RKF release and realizing you could actually easily do that, due to how the ports work. EDIT: Just realised X-Swordman seems to be a larger book and so might not fit into Gekido/Hayate/Suzune, which sadly makes this less likely... hey, maybe it will actually fit, or maybe they'll say "eh, you can't do it with the toys but what the hell let's do it in the show" Last edited by ArmadaPrime; 01-28-2021 at 07:31 PM.. |

Though, I just realized 1 thing. That the Dragon on the Cover of "Primitive Dragon" bears a striking resemblance to the Dragon/Ice Pokémon of the Unova region, Kyurem.
See? The resemblance is uncanny. Edit: The image didn't load, so here is the link https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/ka...20210128193635 Last edited by 806mtson; 01-28-2021 at 07:47 PM.. Reason: The image isn't loading |

Considering how Saikou's X-Swordsman form is basiccally Saikou Sahdow but with colorful comic panels swapped all over the place, it makes sense why RKF Saikou is so darn expensive (4180 yen).
That being said, with all the parts-swapping Figuarts has been doing recently, I can't help but wonder if the SHF Saikou will come with parts-swapping ability to create X-Swordsman and Saikou Shadow.
