I watched Grave of the Fireflies for the first time last night, and it was quite an interesting experience.
While I won't deny the film is bleak as hell, from the way people talk about it I was expecting the whole tragic element to lie on the fact it was set during wartime. However its just as much about human error, the cost of stubborness and the main character bringing a lot of it on himself as it is them being stuck in a difficult time period.

Just finished Shakugan no Shana Second. My god I love this show! It's definitely going in my top 5 favorite anime of all time. My list basically goes like this:
5. Shakugan no Shana 4. Solty Rei 3. FMA (didn't really care for Brotherhood) 2. Madoka Magica 1. Eureka Seven |

"It's the best movie that I never want to see again." Though, it was interesting to learn about it through Sage's analysis.

Just started Shakugan no Shana Final and all I can say is... damn.
To: Klonoahedgehog Let me know when you finish season 2, because there is an ova series called Shakugan no Shana S that takes place in between the two seasons and has an ending that sets the mood perfectly for final. Last edited by guncannon109; 06-12-2013 at 10:27 PM.. |
