Yeah, the bulkiness doesn't work for me at all. The design itself looks okay I guess, but unless there's a specific reason for the bulk I can't say Im a fan

I said the same earlier. But I like the new opening design. It seems more....I can't think of the right words right now.

You misunderstand. There's only one Spartan worth talking about, and his abs certainly imply the 300 variety~

Not saying I hate the design, but what would be wrong with just using the suit from The First? This just.. It's far to heavily armored. I saw it and my first thought was "Who gave Kamen Rider HGH? I guess Toei doesn't have testing"

I'm thinking the bulkier look is so it actually looks like it's Takeshi Hongo in there. Fujioka Hiroshi is a big man, and it was actually a bit jarring to see him transform into whoever lean suit actor portrayed him in the Showa vs. Heisei movie. And yeah, matching the body types of the actors and the suits is rarely an issue (all the recent main Riders have been either taller or shorter than Takaiwa, for instance) but still, I can see them doing it here.
Looking at this design, I can definitely buy that it's Hongo in there. If that's (part of) the reason for how large the suit is, I'm fine with it. |

he looks like on steroid, and where's his neck? Is it because hiroshi fujioka is a chubby dude so the rider kinda get bulked up as well?

You know. As a suit I hate it. Its far too bulky for me too like it. Bit if they have a really good reasoning behind it I can see myself liking it. Like that Hobgo has gotten too old at this point and his cybernetic enhancements arent as strong anymore as they used to be. So he needs a suit with extra armor to fight this new version of shocker.

I freaking love it, I hope it's something more like he goes into the regular form and this is more of a form upgrade. Still I love that he's built like a tank. I can't wait to see this in action.

I have to disagree with everyone!
Yeah the suit was bulky but it make sense Hiroshi Fujioka is VERY OLD and he going to turn 70 years old on February Takeshi need a more stronger upgrade because Nova Shockers are more advanced and more younger than him Look at his original suit! He look too big to fit that costume anymore! He need a more bigger one This suit design somewhat similar to Ben Affleck's Batman bulky one as both of them are old and need a stronger one to take down powerful one |

Ech. I don't like it.
Yeah, maybe they wanted to make it look more like Hiroshi Fujioka was actually in there. But I feel like the beauty of Ichigo's suit design is because of how simple and acrobatic it is. This suit loses all of that, and while I get what they might have been going for, it just doesn't feel like Rider 1 to me. |
