i wish sodo would make another rider monster forms for these watches, i mean the whole point of every toyline is to recreate scenes, at least they should everything connect with the roleplaying to the figures.

The problem is that Japan is never big on selling villain figures in any lines. Kamen Riders are generally an exception, but even then, usually only if they debut early enough. It's especially weird compared to Power Rangers or something, where there's been a concerted effort in recent years to improve it.

Tempted to say 'called it' but it was a very easy call. We know at least Another Gaim, Den-O and W are happening so I guess there will probably be a set two?
Faintly disappointing that it's just one sound block but full watches would have just made it more expensive. And yup they are designed this way to keep cost down. The Ride Watches/Armors are a little different because they need material out for the game and to keep hype going. But it seems the ones held back, were held back for special reasons if you look at the list of which are out when and why. Like how OOO's waited for the Time Majin DX. So it seems likely the remaining unreleased are also tied to special promo stuff, side material, or otherwise reserved for special releases like how Gaim was held back. Which considering Kuuga and Agito are the two other held backs, they likely have something important to their episodes coming up that warrant special features. So that kind of blatantly confirms at some point later we will get Kuuga, Agito, and Decade as another riders. The rest are avoiding spoilers by being blatant. Because of how those ride watches are already available, it's anyone's guess, but we do know they have official designs per the game. Which draws attention away from them and draws attention to what's missing to push the focus there. Really good distraction technique tbh. Makes it easier for surprises because all the focus is on the missing ones. Quote:
Let's wait until closer to when decade material comes up. That'd be the best chance likely for reducing unique mold parts cost, as well as highlighting a play feature involved for Sodo. Last edited by Librarian; 11-03-2018 at 08:47 AM.. |

Can I see a release for a couple, maybe as Figuarts Zeros? Possibly. But to say they'll "probably" get released because a design team worked on them is bogus. The Roidumudes had fantastic designs, yet only Heart ever saw a figure. Same scenario here, probably.

@AkibaSilver
About anything you have to say. So not sure why you bother even quoting me anymore. (Also thanks, was looking for an excuse to use that quotable since I favorited it the other day.) But this once, to point out the flawed aspect of your logic, this isn't about previous years. This is about Zi-O. Another Riders in particular. Not other random MOTWs. Nothing you said addressed that. SIC as MOTW designs is an excuse for toys. Only reason to pick that in particular instead of straight up same suits like Decade did. Other series didn't warrant it(Build did though with the troop builders of the guardian robots, which right there refutes your claims anyway). Now on these, I wouldn't expect anything soon. But given time, it's possible when they need new material or have an excuse like Another Decade to implement the play feature Sodo uses to limit down the amount of full new molded figures as opposed to parts like SODO uses. The Guardian robots/military robots were done from build because they were a troop builder constant. Which meant higher sales. So similarly, when the excuse presents itself, that's when we might see something like that. But for now, it doesn't fit in the cost effectiveness area and eats up too much space(2 boxes each) for other material that will move higher amounts. Right now there would be no point. It'd be considered a spoiler to implement that kind of play feature too early for the MOTWs, and sales have to warrant it first. Otherwise why make product that won't move or isn't wanted and blocks product that will move and is in demand right now. Especially with so many ride armors that need to be done first. Same reason why the Another Watches are done the way they are. Cost and to test demand and response. So next time you try to come at me, maybe see the video above first. Though I do have others favorited for when the chances arrive, but better to save you the embarrassment. Last edited by Librarian; 11-03-2018 at 09:15 AM.. |

a) Being something visually interesting and giving Zi-O a unifying villain theme, as opposed to Decade's "Having no story" b) Doing something with the annual monster suit budget c) Giving the fandom something to hype themselves about, ie: What will my favourite Rider's Another version look like? Also, the Build Guardians aren't Kaijin, they're robot suits which they can pump out five different versions of from the same mold. Same as the Bugster mooks from Ex-Aid. These would be more like the Smash receiving suits, or the Gashat themed Bugsters... which didn't. I'll give you that Graphite recived his own Premium Bandai exlucisive box, but he was a recurring character that there was repaint value in. Quote:

The only way Internet communities can function successfully is through people speaking to one another respectfully. Currently, you're sniping at one another in public. You're obviously both smart; I expect you can do better. I'm interested in reading your perspectives, but please stop being rude to one another.

Being rude as hell towards another user for no real reason, in a topic about toys from Japanese kids shows where adults in spandex beat the everlasting crap out of each other, all rounded up with a badly dubbed anime video from YouTube – talking about "Embarrassment" relating to someone else in that instance is quite the bold choice.
I don’t have the power to tell you to stop, but you really should. Or even better, chill out a bit and actually apologize for that post, that would be great. |

You know what I noticed? Another Ex-Aid looks more like Crites than Yautjas.
