Did anyone see a preview of the next episode where Genis is holding a Zyuoh cube?
You don't think he can use to brainwash someone who will be ZyuohTheWorld as his pawn? |

I tought it was a good episode, even if Magiranger did a better job with this plot XD I'm a bit dissapointed that they didn't explain why Leo seems to found Tusk annoying (Besides the obvious Tusk is serious and Leo is lazy) but i'm glad it wasn't a "Thinking sucks ! Being dumb and rushing is what you must do" episode XD
I was a bit surprise by the final fight... That "See what it's like to be shot" scene was pretty cool, but i didn't excepect something like that to happen. |

You can really tell which character the writers like the most: Leo has been one of, if not the, central character(s) in a lot of recent episodes.
I'm a little disappointed that they killed the would-be general this week, he was a great monster design. A 19th Century British big game hunter with gun stocks sticking off of his body in multiple places and a cool sniper rifle? That alone was enough to sell me, and then they went and added a boomerang moustache on top. This guy is now one of my all-time favorite monster designs. I was also amused that he has the same problem with sniping a moving target that I do in FPSes. Meanwhile, Tusk is a surprisingly terrible shot at close range with a pistol. I've seen Stormtroopers with better aim. The joke at the end of the episode is easily the hardest I've laughed at a gag in a tokusatsu in a long time. That was absolutely priceless. |

I think Tusk was just playing with him, just like the monster played with Leo and him earlier in the episode. He wanted the monster to understand what it's like to be hunted.

I am so happy they decided to bring up the fact that they brought home a lot of the dolls the monster sniped home. That was hilarious
Anyway, for the episode itself, it was alright. Nothing special in terms of plot, but I liked it. Seeing Leo and Tusk clash was an episode that was to be fully expected. There were a lot of scenes I loved, like the aforementioned "See what it likes to be shot" moment (Though it did seem that Tusk was intentionally missing). I was a little disappointed that we didn't get a new general, but I guess any gimmick his players could have had would just be a variation of Kubaru's. Leo looked pretty snazzy, really funny joke at the end, yeah. Enjoyable. Next episode looks pretty neat. I'm glad Mario finally gets to play a large role in an episode. Seems the rumors of The World not appearing until June will be true.

It's not a rumor, though. It's confirmed by the release date of his toys + the scans.

I guess I wasn't paying enough attention to the scans. I must've been skimming too much.

This episode was probably the best of the batch I watched last night (12-15), but it still had a lot fo meh moments in it. The fact that his bullets turned people into dolls really diminished his threat level for me. Whatever happened to just using good old fashioned bullets? I was expecting him to do things similar to that of the first Hell's Gate monster in Timeranger, who went on a mass shooting spree and actually hurt and killed people. Nevertheless, it is a shame because he had a great design and seemed very promising as a character.
Other than that, it was all standard fair with a boring mech battle. Also, it seems like Sela is getting the short end of the stick here because we had two Leo episodes, a Tusk episode, and an Amu episode in those four. |
