UltraMan X Episode 21: This was an epic penultimate episode. I love that it's tying back to the beginning with both Greeza, the monster X threw into the sun and Daichi's parents contacting him. Also I was happy that the two other cast members who are in the opening credits that barely got anything actually talked and had characters for a minute lol. I loved X talking to the XiO team showing how bad this threat is, and I loved that Daichi revealed his secret identity. It's really a great moment when they do that with the team. I just love how much heart everyone's putting into it in the battle for their friends, families, and the whole world. I loved when they had Daichi, Asuna, and Hayato together fighting. Also loved Rui and Dr. Gourman upgrading the shields and Hayato's conversation with his father. I am crazy with emotions with that ending, I'm glad Hayato survived but man this Greeza is something else. Also that was great symbolism at the end too. This really is the darkest before the dawn, I can't wait for the end of this, well I can because this show has been one of the best UltraMan series I've seen.

UltraMan X Episode 22: THAT WAS A FREAKING AMAZING AND SATISFYING FINALE!!! WOOOO!!! EXCITEMENT LEVELS ARE CALMING DOWN EVENTUALLY BUT THIS WHOLE POST MIGHT BE IN CAPS! Lol Okay I won't be that ridiculous but still I loved this episode a whole lot, just the emotions and the heart of the entire XiO team and how far they went to fight back against Greeza and to save Daichi and X. I don't really want to spoil anything but how Daichi and X defeat Greeza was totally amazing and I love that it connects with Daichi's dream. This was such a good series and such a great cast, I can't wait for the movie. I hope there is a Season 2 but if not I'm happy with this season a lot, this is one of my favorite UltraMan series. I am just going to ride this high right now. WOOOO!!!!

Ultraman X is the best Toku show of 2015 (Not that there's a lot of competition there), what a great goddamn show. Let's hope we do get another series or something as good as X for the 50th anniversary.

I don't know if I'd say UltraMan X was the best Toku Show of 2015 because I love all of them equally so far, but damn UltraMan X was damn excellent and one of my favorite shows.

Finished Ultraman X and this is without a doubt my favorite Toku show 2015. Drive was okay-ish near the end, Ghost is kinda lame right now & Ninninger and Garo are just not for me, but Ultraman X is great. Okay the story is pretty non-existent if you think about it, you have themes which carry over between episodes but in the end it’s just one monster after another.
But still, everything about this show is great. The suit-work and action are fantastic, the characters are good (The lab-girl was slightly annoying but they toned her down a lot and she did get her own episode were she wasn’t so hyperactive and generally funny), very well portrait and acted. The drama and comedy was on point, even the silliest episodes like the football match were really enjoyable. I also appreciated the other Ultraman in the show (especially Nexus with the spotlight on the female lieutenant – that was awesome!) even though I had never seen them before. Same with the monsters, I didn’t know them but I could appreciate their legacy in this universe. I really hope they get the gang together for a second season. I think there is a movie coming out sometime? Thought I heard about that somewhere. But I want season 2, I really do. And a damn figure Tamashii, like really? Where is my Ultra-Act Ultraman X? Jesus. I know they’re formatting the line into SH Figuarts right now, but man I just want X. And SH Monsterarts Cyber Gomora please. Okay, that will never happen. At least I got the Spark Doll. |

Just watched the last two episode of Ginga S - really great finale to an excellent series. Are there any subs up for the follow-up movie? Fan or official?

I finished Ultraman X. It was a good show with some likable characters.although I do wish the characters that weren't Daichi and Asuna got a little more added to their charters, like the two tech officers. Hell they really didn't do much other than sit around and give updates and alerts until he the last two eps. But it's only 22 episodes what can you do. And on a bigger plus the toy collectible tie in, which has become really prevalent in sentai and KR now a days, wasn't that bad. I mean it was there but it didn't scream out "Hey look kids, a new toy to beg for" every other episode. Hopefully I'll get to see the Ultraman X movie.

A good article about how UltraMan inspired anime and more.
