Anyway, I really hope that this new show turns out to be the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic! of the series. My friend just started watching Transformers: Prime because she found the story to be intriguing. I don't want to be the only fan in my group of friends again. In the meantime, I will make TFW2005 aware of this new development. Last edited by KRX; 07-26-2013 at 01:40 PM.. |

Guys. We have this conversation every time there's a new Sentai or Rider series, and someone finds it a little childish. That's who these shows are aimed towards. They make Transformers for one reason and one reason only. Toy Sales. It's a half-hour toy ad and nothing more.
And remember this. Transformers Animated was supossed to be a Kid-Friendly show to, and it ended being one of the ebst TF adaptations to date. So mayube the judging is coming a little early, eh? Also AUTOBOT JUICY! |

Also AUTOBOT JUICY! "It's too stupid!" "Really, Toei? Fruit?" "This has got to be the DUMBEST idea yet." And yet a Strawberry themed, Kunai-wielding Rider (Strawberry Shinobi, CALLED IT!) and a Watermelon Mini-Mecha have just been announced and we are praising it. Just wait, this may be pretty good. |

True. I mean, Animated was technically aimed towards kids.
Does it have a name yet? or are they not allowed to say?

But knowing it's going 2D is actually a good thing. Since generally CG shows cost 3 times more to produce than 2D, they can probably spend the money on other things..plus you can have a crapload more of characters showing up on screen. That's always been the limitation of CG shows (unless you have Lucas' budget) is the number of characters that can appear onscreen at the same time. I enjoyed the crap out of Prime and wished I had worked on it. And even though the Hub is a newer animation studio, the people they employ are all top notch veterans. Someone here said it best..Transformers the Animated series was aimed at the younger crowd. And that turned out awesome.
