WARNING: This should only be attempted if you are 100% sure you want to do this. You may damage your Figuart in the process. Please be careful.
Materials Needed: -Thin Blade. -Hair dryer. -Very Thin Screwdriver -(May need) Water. Estimated Time Required: 45 minutes-1 Hour (minimum) Step 1: Get your Figuart. Here, we have RaToraTah/LaTorarTar. Step 2: Thanks to the way the Figuarts are built, you can separate the legs and the head at the bottom of the neck from their ball joints in the chest. Step 3: Notice the creases in the armor. The chest will be the easiest part of the chest symbol to remove, as it is what holds the other two pieces down. Step 4: Take your thin blade to start cutting along the bottom of the chest symbol. I used tweezers at first to move the piece a little up before using the blade- Step 5: After cutting all around (estimated time if you are careful should be about 30-45 minutes), you will have the chest symbol separate. There, you will notice that the other parts are stuck on with glue. Use your hairdryer to try to melt the glue, and wash the figure with water to also make the glue wet. Step 6: THIS IS THE PART THAT COULD GET DANGEROUS. Use the thin screw driver to push the pieces up off the figure. This part may result in breaking, so be cautious. Step 7: After removing the symbols, you'll notice they are in 3 parts. These parts can peg together to form the chest symbols, and can be swapped around (minus PuToTyra, due to his different chest design.) Step 8: Take the pieces of the Figuart you separated in step 2 and put it together with the newly separated chest symbol! Enjoy!

So basically if the pieces weren't glued down, they could've had a form swap gimmick if they wanted?

Yup. I don't see why Bandai didn't just do that in the first place.
