I'm going to lay down my cash for this, but with severe apprehension. While I have the discretionary income to afford it, I don't quite agree with the pricing practice and what it might mean for other bulky megazords such as Muteki Shogun.

If I had the money I would. But $200 is simply far too much. And it pains me because this really does look like a fairly awesome toy: very show accurate and wonderful attention to detail.
It's really a matter of pricing it beyond reach.

Of course I am buying it. It is over priced as ****, but it is a show accurate Dairen-Oh with fully painted and sculpted details, no stickers. I have been waiting years for something like this to come out, especially after the Legacy Dragonzord was released.

I absolutely want it, but it depends on my financial situation at the time of release. I might have to wait for a price drop.

I'd rather buy next years Bionicle sets. They look cooler than this too.

My problem with the cost is the simplicity of the toy. If we were talkin' a significant fraction of the poseability of a Soul of Chogokin toy, then yeah, a significant fraction of the SoC price tag makes sense. But we're talking about something that can only wave its arms up and down. And 3 of the 5 alt modes are complete bricks.

As cool as it is, there's no way I'm spending $200 on it, it's simply not worth that much. Buying it at that price is only encouraging Bandai to continue overcharging like this on future releases since it will demonstrate to them that they can get away with it.

I swear when information about this was originally posted, the guys posting said that Bandai was listening to the fans. So, do they listen to us say it's too expensive, or are they just sitting in their chairs, smoking cigars and laughing evilly.

I will probably wait for a price drop. With $200, I rather use it to save up for a new laptop or buy the new 3DS.
