Does everything fantasy related have to be Game of Throne inspired?

They fear working hard and explaining without the need to link to other series. It's why media is in a slump these days

Does everything fantasy related have to be Game of Throne inspired? He-Man is not a series that should be taken, nor take itself, seriously. Camp is built into it, and unless they can keep that alive... yeah, no. I'm sure the people who crapped themselves in glee over BvS will be ecstatic but that pitch... does not fill me with confidence.

I doubt it will be R rated, but probably PG-13/TV-14. I do agree that He-Man should be fun and not take itself seriously.

EDIT: Oof, I read the article, and I know it's not much, but constantly calling it an "anime" is enough of a red flag for me that I want to see how much of a car crash its gonna be.

I don't mind darker themes in a franchise, as long as the story makes sense and is extremely good. The problem with franchise nowadays is just because The Dark Knight is dark, they want everything to be dark. And not just that, it's the blatant copying of TDK's style that makes most of these darker versions a failure. Hell, just look at BvS.
Like I want the second saga of MCU to be darker, but they need to be able to tell a fantastic story to justify it being darker. If they do it for the sake of "hurr durr people love darker themes let's be dark just 'cause" then it's digging their own grave.

What the Pentagon declassified is proof of something big. To be honest I don't think it's that far fetched to suggest creatures either within or outside our solar system can send objects to our planet. Within less than 70 years we went from motorized gliding machines to sending men to the moon. In little over 100 years we're sending drones and probes to Mars and across the solar system, and two that are currently in deep space. Now imagine the technology of a race that's just 500 years ahead of us.
I did some research and found that Tom DeLonge was responsible for the leaked videos in 2017. These same videos were just declassified by the Pentagon as "unidentified aerial phenomenons." And back in October 2019 he and his company Into the Stars... Academy of Arts and Sciences signed a deal with the US Army to study the possible extraterrestrial origins of these phenomenons. So we should take his comments a bit more seriously and follow what he and his company are doing. |
