super sentai-basically here in Israel i watched every season up until jungle fury and after that rpm was skipped and was only shown for the first time earlier this year(oh i watched it when it came out it was the first toku i ever watched online). during that 1 year break between rpm and samurai was when i really started getting into anime and that kind of thing( i can thank the brave series and inuyasha for that)i discovered the existence of super sentai but i couldn't find where to watch it ant waht i did find was the earlier episodes of goseiger(which in my opinion like fourze and wizard started off well but got lost somewhere along the way) an that was it for then, later towards the end of go busters i got back into sentai and caught up with goseiger, gokaiger,go-onger and go-busters and then i followed kyoryuger from the beginning and here i am
kamen rider-while i became aware of kamen rider around the same time as i became aware of super sentai but up until recently i didn't find it interesting the when all the hype about gaim started i decided i would give it it a chance and i watched the first episode- i was hooked. ever since then I've caught up with wizard, fourze, OOO, W and i'm currently halfway through decade

Power Rangers:
I was there when Power Ranger was born in the US. I watched Power Rangers seasons 1, 2, 3 and thought it was the coolest thing ever. I later rewatched it as an adult and wanted to facepalm for how bad the special effects were. It really shows you that little kids usually don't have such high standards like we do. I was that weird 4 year old girl who played with her Barbie dolls and Power Ranger action figures at the same time. Yes, I had the Power Rangers fight with the Barbie dolls. When I grew out of Power Rangers, I still had exposure to it because of my younger brother, who watched Power Rangers in Space and Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. We later got cable and I would catch glimpses of Power Rangers SPD and Dino Thunder, but I didn't actually watch it. Super Sentai I was aware of Super Sentai's existence for maybe 3 years when I started college, but I didn't watch it until last year. I found out about Super Sentai through tvtropes and then saw Akibaranger's design, which I thought was ridiculous. My friend tried to introduce Akibaranger to me, but I didn't watch it until 2 years ago? I watched through Akibarangers season 1 and had to look up the references through tvtropes and other websites, which got me into watching the actual Super Sentai shows. My first Super Sentai show was Timeranger. After watching the first episode, I was hooked and never looked back . I finished Timeranger and Shinkenger. I am currently watching 3 shows right now: Jetman, Kakuranger, and Go-Busters. Last edited by rainsonata; 05-05-2014 at 11:10 PM.. |

Ahaha! This thread! I love how I sometimes forget I started this, come on here and then do a double-take. Then I'm just like: oh yeah!
There's some good stuff in here though! It's fun reading everyone's intros to Sentai. I'm glad to hear other countries aired Sentai, that's not something I hear to often.

Power Rangers: Started with Power Rangers Zeo, and I stopped at RPM. Went back and watched MMPR and yes Samurai(Both), Megaforce, and Super Megaforce
Super Sentai: I got hooked into Sentai through Gokaiger after seeing the promo for Super Megaforce and I went from there. Finished Goseiger, Gokaiger, Go-Busters, and Kyoryuger. Currently watching Toqger, Abaranger, and parts of Gekiranger. Hoping to see Go-onger and Shinkenger later. |
