Marvel didn't have that luxury before because they were their own company. |

So wait, are you guys not enjoying the Current Superman & Son DC Rebirth titles? Because they're the most fun I've had with Superman comics in a while.
Green Lanterns could use some work, and Hal and the rest of Corps' story is taking a while to get going. Flash is doing what most people are tired of show-wise, adding more speedsters and not focusing on/developing more rogues to fight, and Wonder Woman is going through yet another origin story, so at this point she's as bad as her sister Donna. I won't even get into Justice League. Having said that, I'm glad the Titans are no longer gritty dark (could do with a different artist, but my Wally's back so I'll live), and while I'm annoyed that Aquaman seems to have taken a few steps back from what the last issues of his last volume were doing, such as Mera's attitude towards us surface dwellers, it does seem like Arthur's happier now, so that's good for me.

I don't know what to tell you. My first Lantern comic was Kyle's premier issue, but every adult I knew said Hal was the greatest Lantern and hated Kyle. And then when Hal was coming back every one older than me praised it.
To say the Rebirth stuff wasn't great would be a lie though, as Johns has given us the best GL material in decades. Sinestro forming his own corp, the different Lantern corps in general, and Blackest Night are all brilllaint and some of the best stuff to come out of DC after the 2000s. I won't deny that Green Lantern: Rebirth led to some really great comics. But in rereading the original miniseries, Hal honestly felt more like a Mary Sue than anything. Quote:
I prefer Barry, but I can see where you are coming from.

He didn't add any brooding grit to it. Having a tragic past doesn't make it gritty, it adds character to it. Besides, are you certain this was Johns' choice?

DC Rebirth has been a masterpiece so far. It feels like the DC universe again and the heroes feel like heroes.

No, Didiot is making the decisions and Johns has to follow them.
Also, you may not agree with every decision that DiDio's made, but there's no need to be rude. Last edited by KRX; 08-08-2016 at 12:14 AM.. |

Suicide Squad is a complete and utter disaster of cinema.
I loved it so much. But seriously. Katana got screwed over. |

I'm kind of tempted to see Suicide squad just to see why it's so bad.

If you're gonna watch it, watch it with friends--especially if they knew something about film. If you watch it by yourself, you'll probably suffer. But if you watch it with friends, it'll probably be a blast.

My thoughts on the damn trainwreck
Margot Robbie♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥ She was PERFECT as Harley, as she had no bad lines, is sexy enough for Harley and acts crazy enough for Harley Will Smith's Deadshot was surprisingly great. You'd root for him more than anyone Captain Boomerang was pretty funny at times too NOW FOR EVERYTHING ELSE Jared Leto isn't Joker, but a regular sociopath Killer Croc gets like 10 lines Katana does jack **** Enchantress is the villain DESPITE WHAT THE GUYS SAID and she was a boring villain Boomerang gets very little to do Amanda Waller is unlikeable Slipknot exists only to die Y'know those lovely colours in the trailers? That's all the colour you get The Squad gets screwed over because of Waller anyway literally can't remember anything else and I saw it about 25 hours ago

So quick question. Which is your favorite Robin? Mine is Jason Todd aka the Red Hood.
