I think the form change gimmick is executed fairly well in this line, but it definitely could be better. Cutting things like neck articulation really sucks. Still could be fun to mix and match a bunch of them, but playing? Not so much, at least compared to what's come before.

Just wanted to comment on how beautiful and detailed this figure looked. Have been getting into Kamen Rider lately and Build has really sparked my interest in both the show and the merchandise.

I was really interested in going all in with the BCR line, but in the end there were just too many negatives. It's hard to ignore the faults in articulation with a line this expensive. Not to mention a pretty limited lineup, given only 7 Best Match forms are in the line and the rest probably won't even be P-Bandai. But honestly, the real deal breaker is that I hate that the eyes are just painted on. The gimmick toys from Gaim and Shost could afford to have translucent plastic for the eyes/masks, so it really annoys me that for a design in which the eyes are such an important part of the design they just went with paint.
That's why I'm more of a Remix Riders guy. Literally only slightly less articulation than BCR, for a tenth of the price and with actual good looking eyes. (just a shame its running into a lineup wall too. still, a lot more complete than BCR) |

I've been slowly falling in love with Build as I've watched it. While the gimmick with this figure is really cool, the lack of articulation is painful. Also, bonus points for using the model sprues in those gallery photos, haha! Nice touch!

It is a shame they weren't able to manage the gimmick without sacrificing the figure with this year's line. I've been pretty impressed with how well the budget line has managed to keep near, but not quite, figuarts levels of posing action while mainly sacrificing on paint, details and whatnot. The gimmick is at least done pretty well here, even if it isn't perfect.

It's not Figuart quality, but it does the job nicely.

You know it's honestly a shame, this line looks nice and in scale with certain other figures... except what immediately kills it for me is the lack of neck and waist articulation. That kind of makes it or break it for me. It's why I'm wary on getting the Ghost Change figures, but at least with the parka's you can kinda rework the visor to give neck articulation somewhat unlike here.

For what ever reason I only have Hawk-Gatling but I'm in the middle of collecting Ex-aid's line but I should pick him up soon as well
