Can anyone tell me exactly what this set does? And is it a cheap alternative for someone who really just wants something that says "it's morphin time" and representations of the weapons?
EDIT: According to an (Unhappy) review, these are mini. I'm unsure if that was unclear before. Last edited by TheBeastman; 01-08-2014 at 07:19 AM.. |

If you are talking about the same set that I got my son, if you are then yeah, they are TINY, perfect for a little kid but definitely not for adults. It's almost like the candy toys, but better quality, in terms of plastic and construction, the morphin brace makes sound but the visor doesn't pop up on its own.

What about just for someone who couldn't afford the full set? Would it be worth it to have a representation of those weapons? Or is it a waste? (Referring to an adult)

I'll attempt to locate them tomorrow and take a picture with the full size ones, so you can decide whether or not it's good enough for you.

So here they are, the Narikiri set versus the DX set, you can see the size is a huge difference. the last two picture are actually the Gashapon version versus the Narikiri version, the gashapon version actually has a longer blade.

Thanks, that was a lot of help. I'm conflicted about whether to get the plain ol morpher, or this set. (If I was to get either of course)

I'm not sure what the prices are like these days, but I remember the DX stuff has been pretty cheap last time I checked

The plain ol morpher would be about as much as the entire mini set.

I got the DX Morphin Brace for about $23 CAD shipped (with other stuff ofcourse) from Mandarake. It was only about 1500 yen, and I've seen the weapons as cheap as 500 yen sometimes (which I have not bought). But if you can get the DX Morphin Brace for a good price, I would totally recommend it. It is a lot of fun!
