After defeating the newest Deathgalien player, the Zyuohgers find themselves right back at the start of battle! Has time come undone?!
As always you can view this episode via live stream on Saturday by heading over to Taima TV. They play other miscellaneous programs up until the live broadcast starts.
Live Streams of the Superhero Time block start at 6:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on Saturdays. |

Huh... I'm the first in here? Oh well, then I'll start for once:
Good episode! The groundhog-day theme was cool, they even had a Capybara in there (they probably couldn’t find a real groundhog in time ) and a little development for Sela too which is nice. Cube Mogura literally shows up just because it is supposed to, like if that villain would've planted his murder bulb on another spot they would’ve been screwed. But oh well, it's a children show after all, it wasn’t that bad. Kamen Rider pulls this stuff all the time too. They had lots and lots of screentime saved for the Mecha and its transformation though, which was kinda lame. When the episode started with the already big monster I hoped that this would be another episode where the Mecha shows up early so they can save themselves the whole "Naria beams down"-scene and stuff. But nope, no such luck. At least they used the Mecha kinda creatively I guess. And Cube Mogura is cute. Comedy was on point to, not too silly, just right. Tusk needs to suffer for his sensitive nose once more So next episode Genis shows his face one Earth? Interesting. |

Episode was really good but I really wish they had devoted a little less time to the mech battles.
I like Sela even more now. Yamato, who is your father? |

This episode was...Eh. Okay, I guess.
It had some nice points, like learning more about Sela, and the Zyuman's realizations about things moving on without them, so that was neat. But did we really need four mech combination sequences? Really? Anyway, I'm rather curious about why Mario was so willing to help Yamato have an out when asked about his parents, so color me interested. Cube Mole was a bit of a deus ex machina, but it's cute, so whatever. I'm more interested in next week's episode, where Genis finally comes down, a cat dies, and the Eagle Zyuman returns. Think they'll pull a Goseiger and have him die in the next few episodes for a new villain to rise up in the first quarter of the show?

I enjoyed this episode. I'm sure there's been a time loop plot like this in Sentai before, but if so I don't remember it. That made it feel pretty unique to me, even if it meant seeing a lot of recycled footage.
Something dawned on me after watching this: Zyuohger is possibly the most serious Sentai series we've had in years. Aside from Uncle Mario dressing up in animal costumes (which he only does occasionally), the show doesn't have any aggressively goofy comic relief like the old man in Ninninger or the conductor and his puppet in ToQger. There's still comedy, but it doesn't feel like it's ever being forced down our throats. It's really weird to see Sentai being the relatively serious show next to Kamen Rider. Also, Tusk's actor really isn't very good at the whole acting thing. |

The idea of a timeloop episode was cool, but the execution was a bit disappointing (like the mole cube that just happened to be there, or the fact the monster of the week could have killed them in their sleep anytime).
And yes, Tusk's actor wasn't at his best there.

The lack of in your face comedy (And Mario, thankfully, not pulling his dress up act every episode) makes it a lot easier to watch, even when I'm not loving everything it does.
