Uva was the first Greeed to receive the Figuarts treatment, a Tamashii Web Eclusive, and for a long time was one of the most expensive of the Greeed on the aftermarket. I think Uva is the one that cost me the most to get. Was he worth it?
Like all of the Greeed Figuarts, Uva is fantastically detailed, has excellent paint, and great articulation. Unfortunately, the hip joints on mine are a bit more loose than I would like, but I expect that's a problem specific to mine, and not widespread. Like the previously reviewed Kazari Uva's eyes/nose(?) are made out of transparent plastic, though Uva's doesn't catch the light as well as Kazari's. Uva's suit also isn't covered by quite as many tiny detailed spots, so while the paint is great, his is more impressive in the sculpting. Uva is covered in overlapping plates, it really adds to the insectoid look of the character. Uva also has a bunch of grasshopper-like bits hanging off his shoulders, forearms, and head. And the chest armor is hideously sculpted, looking very buglike. He's the creepiest looking of the Greeed, in my opinion, but then, insects rather give me the creeps, so... For accessories, Uva comes with pretty much the same thing as Kazari, a Tamashii Stage Act 4, two piles of medals to plug into the stage, and a few alternative hands. Not a lot of accessories, which made me feel the price I paid was a bit unwarranted. Uva has two left hands, a fist and a sorta calm open hand, and four right hands, first, calm open hand, a three-fingered sorta grasping hand, and one that looks like it could hold a O-Medal between the thumb and forefinger, if I had any individual Medals I would have tried it. The right hands have a plug in them for the two-pronged blade he has, which plugs in very tightly and was kind of a pain to take off when I wanted to swap hands. Uva isn't my favorite of the Greeed, but he's a well executed figure, looks great with the rest of the Greeed, and is worth picking up. |

It's a shame he went from being the main villain of the show to a nobody in the span of like 3 episodes.
