A good episode, character development, plot moving forward and an organic (heh) way of introducing new powers with new foe types.

good episode. Very plot-centric which will require subtitles to be sure what have been said.
plot episode to the point the comedy was almost entirely dropped. Except for the scene at the end. Even the scene with the vice president was a serious one and there was no joke about "you should quit" or "I'll take your place" or anything. not much else to say. The plot is moving fast. Oh yeah we had a map of the current city (or a former map of Daybreak I don't remember) showing all the companies existing and we saw the Zaia one. |

And damn Fuwa really loves trying to force his way through with the Progrise keys. |

Another great episode, but with some low points. The pacing was too fast imo and I didn't like how conveniently everything came together. Plus Aruto revealing that he is Zero-One already makes the secret identity thing seem completely pointless.
Other than that, loved it. The mystery behind Daybreak Town is intriguing and we learn a little more about what really went down there. Good world-building. Fuwa gets some focus and Vulcan Punching Kong's fight scene was awesome. Ditto for Flying Falcon, the CG was actually pretty decent. Feel bad for the kid but at least he got resolution. Felt even more bad for Anna, who defied Metsuboujinrai to fulfill her original programming, but got completely obliterated so there is no way to restore her. The early Horobi tease was awesome. Suit looks great. Can't wait to see more of him. The season so far seems to be really well planned. Tons of foreshadowing right off of the bat and I bet we'll be seeing lots of payoff as the show progresses. Also can we talk about how cool the monsters look this season? The Bat Magear looked fantastic. And also the shot of Flaming Tiger in the preview looks beautiful. |

They made it a cliffhanger last week as if it was important and could be used by AIMS to their advantage somehow, and next ep it becomes pointless. |

Last episode he just transforms out in the open like five feet away from where Yua was fighting. Not that the show addresses that, but still. For as short a period where it lasted the show didn't really go to great lengths to have him cover his tracks. The focus of that last scene wasn't really about unveiling his identity either, but more about Yua, the fact that she was meeting with a mysterious person, and the stuff about the Progrise Keys and the ark, the identity stuff doesn't really take away from that at all. I'm biased because I thought introducing the secret identity element was a bad move to begin with, but I don't mind getting rid of it so quickly at all. Even if the fact that he hid his identity for like two episodes is kinda pointless for the overall narrative, maybe they'll squeeze some relevance out of the whole thing by revealing some important reason Izu wanted him to do it, or something like that. At the very least, I think the way they did it is fine, tying it into the episode's story and Aruto not wanting to keep any secrets. |
