So we know Super Ninja Steel is confirmed for 2018, it will more than likely be our 25th anniversary season for Power Rangers, and, most likely, almost everyone here will not like it and complain about it nonstop.
That's why I had the foresight to create this thread: You have the opportunity to write Super Ninja Steel, you have total creative licensing, you can do whatever you want, so what would you do, which past Rangers, if any, would you bring back, and is there anything special you would do for the 25th anniversary? Writers room is open, enjoy.

Though barring that, if I had any control over the future of the PR franchise, I would end the show aspect of it ASAP. As-is it's not worth continuing with the people who currently work at Saban. Maybe even sell it off to Lionsgate, since they seem to have a handle on things.

Personally I'd largely ignore the anniversary and just focus on making Super Ninja Steel good. Considering PR series last 2 years each now I don't really feel like we have enough distance from Super Megaforce for there to be any need to do a big celebration again. Even Super Sentai downplayed things with Zyuohger.
I would however love to see the early Ninninger episode with Ninja Red and Hurricane Red adapted in some fashion. They used the mecha footage already but they could probably work around that in any number of ways if they felt like it. Alternatively do something we haven't seen in forever and give us a proper team-up with one of the other Neo-Saban teams. Dino Charge is the obvious choice, but doing Megaforce would allow them to use other teams by extension (celebrating the anniversary much like Zyuohger did with Gokaiger showing up), and Samurai would give the whole thing a cool "ninja vs. samurai" angle that could be fun. The problem with that idea though is that even if they could get all the actors together, there's no Sentai footage to use with any of those combinations, and it doesn't seem like Saban is really comfortable making that much original action footage for even one episode, which is a shame, because I really miss team-up episodes.

I'd like a "Once a Ranger" style team up and that's about it. I'd rather just have a well-written standalone series than another one that solely relies on pandering to nostalgia.
Megaforce was only a few years ago. Power Rangers needs to do what's Sentai did with Zyuohger.

I'd say try to adapt the episode that used Kakured and Hurricane red somehow. I don't know how but they should, maybe adapt the episode with Magi Yellow And a team up with Dino charge.
It would not surprise me if they went with this.

Since Ninja Steel and Dino Charge had the same team and yet are so far apart in terms of quality, I'm guessing just writing isn't enough.
You'd have to stave off the network executives telling you to dumb everything down for the five-year-old demographic. |

Okay, I'm more Rider fan that watches some Sentai or anything, but I do like writing my own Tokusatsu, so...here's how it could go.
One would be less focus on the anniversary gig and more on solid character development. Quote:

Now how would I start the series? Fix everything. Character development should go first. I'm more character-based in writing my own tokusatsu, but imo, development is just as good as advancing the plot. One of the many flaws sween in Ninninger is that only few ever get to do development, but sometimes, it would be ebtter if we could focus on all the characters. The series should try and be more mature, despite the fact that... Quote:

Another thing I would wanna do is to make the vilalins more threatening. I could make Ariake No Kata's counterpart even worse than her. Or better yet, think of Mangetsu's counterpart in this. He should be what Chronos did to Ex-Aid. I wanan see him be one of the worst villains written right. That is all. Love Only,
