The movie will act as an epilogue to the show. There will be leftover things from the show like the Gold Silver bottles but nothing drastic. The villains will be like "Evolt's gone but he had left over followers"

By defeating the immediate threat but not directly tackling the system that allowed such a threat to grow and flourish to the point it did in the first place; ie a corrupt government, a greedy group of arms dealers and general selfish nature of a lot of humanity
That's kind of Evolt's whole thing right now despite being an extraterrestrial

Hey Build, I know the last few episodes have been a little rough, but how about this week?
Well, I think so anyway. This episode wasn't the best of the series or anything but it was definitely very good, and I don't have a single complaint. Well, except for that I just noticed Cross-Z Charge is still in the OP for some reason. But between executing Gentoku's T-shirt gags in a way that was genuinely hilarious AND didn't kill the tone (it's all in the timing), epic pre-transformation banter between everyone's favorite Best Match Duo (I honestly get a little upset every time I see Ryuuga hanging out with Kazumi), Build having to think his way through a fight beyond just smacking people, and the general feeling that the show wasn't biting off more than it could chew, I'd chalk this episode up as a big win. I'd imagine things are only going to get better from here, too.

Either way, god yes; I think you've nailed down why I really liked this episode. I smiled so much when Ryuuga arrived to help out Sento and give him the words he needed -- and man, those words. I adore the message that it doesn't matter where your origins lie; it doesn't matter if your heritage and past is stained in blood and bad intentions, you are still capable of moving forward and do better than that. Build's been great with that in general especially with the Takumi stuff, and it's why the first RabbitRabbit transformation is one of my favourite scenes in the show so far.

Also I always see people criticize Build for having ANOTHER evil dad but it's so painfully obvious he's not a villain by choice, Katsuragi and Sento outright say he's doing it with guilt and the things Shinobu says are so blatantly "C'MON SON GET STRONGER KICK THIS ALIEN SON OF A BITCH"

I'm late, I'm late! I just watched the last 2 episodes back to back, and I thought both were really good. I liked how Sento basically just smacked Vernage into Banjou to resolve 2 problems at once. If Vernage doesn't now talk through Banjou at some point I will be very disappointed. I am also convinced that the Build movie is lying to me, because there is NO way all 4 of our main Riders are surviving this show. It's just a ploy to make me put my guard down! A lot of people think that Katsuragi's father will become the final villain in order to fill up the last few episodes, but I am convinced that Utsumi will end up as the real final villain, I've thought it for a long time now. Katsuragi's dad will probably get taken out by Evolt or Utsumi or somebody.

I haven't been on the boards in a while but I like Build so I will post this:
Build peaked at episode 22. God every episode was perfect till that point. Now they are just retreading the same plot points and character moments over and over again. Watching episode 43 was like watching episode 16 or 27 again. The first arc, with Sento trying to find out the mystery behind his lost memories and Blood Stalk turning up as the traitor, was so tightly-woven together, so well-paced and clever that even when the obvious twists turned up, it felt tremendous to see it come together. Now we have stuff coming out of nowhere to pad for time like the Lost Bottles and Sento's dad being alive. I mean just 8 episodes ago the stakes were the highest they've ever been with the box being opened and the tower being formed. Why was that not the turning point? Instead we have weird moments like Utsumi turning bad for no discernible reason and Sento becoming Katsuragi for a total of 20 minutes to give us the illusion that something is happening when it really isn't. I mean I could be all wrong. By the end of the series it could all tie in together in a really clever and satisfying way. I just hope the last few episodes aren't a sign of what is to come, because if they are, Build will have gone from my favourite Rider series to only managing to squeeze into the top 10. That being said, its still a good show. There are good moments in this episode too. Sento and Ryuga's bromance is amazing and the solution to the Vernage and Banjo problems was cool. The suits are all mighty fine and I will never stop loving Cross-Z. |

Yea, one underratted critique I have of Build's recent Episodes is, honestly the Episodes leading up to Genius Form aren't all that interesting. I mean, Katsuragi taking over Sento's body SHOULD'VE been a big deal, but in all honesty, him building the Genius Fullbottle & then not being able to use HIS OWN INVENTION never made sense to me. And Sento coming back wasn't hard or anything, it was just "You can have it back now." Kinda lackluster if you ask me.
...And yes, I know this sounds like derailing, and it kinda is, but this is related to how Build's stakes were back then compared to now.
