Hello,
I recently bought a large amount of Gaoranger mecha from Ebay. To complete my collection, I only need to buy GaoIcarus/Isis Megazord. After a while of searching, I found a south Korean version MIB and within my budget. Are the south Korean versions the same quality as the Japanese versions, or are they more like bootlegs? |

I believe the South Korean versions are the same thing as the Japanese DX mecha. The only difference really is the packaging.

Thanks for the replies.
I also did a quick search on Rangerboard about this issue, and it seems that the Korean version has some lower quality plastic. I think I will ask them to be sure, as this is not a purchase I want to do rushed. @ArmorhideMB2: Thanks for the reply. But a complete Isis Megazord is almost as expensive as a complete Icarus. So I prefer having the Japanese version just to be consistent. EDIT: I did not ask around, but found the exact quote that I referred to earlier. Quote:
My only experience with a Bandai Korea toy is GaoIcarus, and while it was fun, it was also lacking in that the plastic is of poorer quality. Also, the GaoIcarus uses a lot of non-ratcheting joints and those joints were rather loose. Finally, this didn't bother me too much, but some of the painted detail and chrome is gone. Other than that, the design and mold is identical to the DX, as far as I can tell.

Within my personal experience: I own DaiBouken, Engine Oh, Gunbir Oh, Jum Bowhale, GokaiOh, Datas Hyper, Kyoryuzin and PlezuOh as Korean products. DaiBouken is missing all chrome paint and is replaced with the regular gold and silver paint you see in Sentai mecha today. Engine Oh luckily retains all chrome. The rest of them didn't have any chrome to begin with and thus are practically identical with the exception of the removal of glow-in-the-dark in Kyoryuger Zyudenchi.
From the looks of it, the current season out (ToQger) seems to be identical to the Japanese toys. |

So how about the more recent ones like Gokaiger-Zyuohger? Is the plastic quality any different then?
