Yeah, it was disappointing. A lot of Nintendo fans predicted Nintendo was gonna bring out the big guns for Wii U to have the system go off with a bang, but I guess everyone is working on NX stuff. But that means Retro could be working on an NX Metroid and it could be at launch since they haven't said anything for so long.
I don't know why Nintendo is pushing Super Mario Maker so hard though. I get that it's a limitless world of possibility, but a tool to create shouldn't be your heavy hitter. A lot of that fell apart once the Xbone and PS4 got announced and even before the Wii U released, as a lot of devs got their games got thrown on the list of announced third party games without developing a Wii U version. http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/06/...ds-wii-u-at-e3 |

I think all the anger towards it is for it not being a prime 4 or other metroid game, but instead it's a spinoff
I do understand that, but I think they're buying time for a prime 4

Both conferences today were horse shit, with the worst offender being Nintendo and that piece of trash with Metroid in the title.
At least Youkai Watch is coming to the US. |

The game looks fun enough. It really doesn't have anything to do with Metroid though, so why it has the name I don't know.

Apparently F-Zero lives on with a different name.

Yknow, I keep forgetting that these days Square does more than Final Fantasy and RPGs.

I haven't watched Square's yet, but Nintendo was disappointing compared to last year (but yay! Xenoblade X North American release date!).
As for Sony, HOLY CRAP LAST GUARDIAN ISN'T CANCELLED, AND HAS A RELEASE WINDOW! Oh, and FF7, cool I guess, I might pick it up, never played the original, and Shenmue 3 is a Kickstarter game. I wonder if it's because Sega wasn't willing to put money into it. Regardless, I hope the Kickstarter does well.

My thoughts.
EA I cared nothing for. UbiSoft was Tom Clancy, Sequels, and casual cussing. Microsoft announcing backwards compatibility was nice but I heard to many horror stories about the One to want one. Nintendo was just a flop. Really Bethesda stole the damn show. Fallout 4, Doom. Rumors of Skyrim 2. They brought it hard. |
