Steve Jobs
I was really looking forward to this film and I wasnt dissappointed. This is by far one of the best movies I have seen this year and there have been a lot of great ones. Its just the right kind of biopic that I enjoy. Its a very human story about Steve Jobs coming to terms with his inner demons and how his deranged relationship to his daughter. Aaron Sorkins script completely blew me away with a lot of fantastic lines that have you on the edge of your seat every time. Especially since all of the actors do a magnificient job. Michael Fassbander absolutely knocked it out of the park as Steve Jobs. Between this and Macbeth he has to at least get a nomination for the Oscars this year. That guy deserves it. Biggest surprise for me was Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak. That guy is a surprisingly good dramatic actor. I would really like to see him do more drama in the future. Danny Boyles directing is also top notch. Its very bare bones and doesnt go over the top like it tends to be in his movies. He just sets the stage for this remarkable cast to act out a glorious script. |

Spectre. Was it good? Yeah.
Maybe not a 10/10 but still good enough to watch it in theaters. Myself I liked it because it was a different beast compared to the other spy action films(Kingsman and Mission Impossible in particular) out this year so it was nice to see this film. I would like to recommend watching the previous three Daniel Craig Bond films and if you still have time watch some of the oldies(primarily Sean Connery's films) prior to watching this since it will help you appreciate some of the easter eggs and trivia.

Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace
One week to go until I'm seeing The Force Awakens so its time to sit down and rewatch the other films. Episode I still sucks major ass. The Film has so many problems its not even fun to watch it as a bad movie. The A-Plot is extremely boring and pushed into the background without it even having the chance to become interesting, the B-Plot is extremely boring and pushed way too much into the forefront. Anakin is not relevant to anything in this film so having to spend so much time with him on Tatooine is a gigantic waste of everyones time. It isnt helped by the fact that pretty much none of the actors in this film do a very good job at acting. Which is funny since most of them are great actors. But having a shitty script and a shitty director hurts even the most talented actor. Another giant problem I have with this film is that the majority of the action scenes are absolutely pointless filler. Except for the end none of them move the plot forward in any way or develop any of the main characters. The Pod Race could have been cut from the film entirely, since Anakin being freed could have been done much more quickly and without having to sit through a boring race, featuring a bunch of no name characters that just exist to sell more toys. So yeah. The Phantom Menace was shit back then and it is shit now. And fuck Jar Jar. |

Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones
Everytime I talk with people about the prequel trilogy I hear from them "Yeah the first one sucks but the second one is much better." And they are right, Episode II is better... it still sucks though. It improves on a lot of shortcomings Episode I had. The action scenes are a lot more important for progressing the characters and the narrative. The Story is also more coherent and doesnt have the same messed up priotrities Episode I has. Ewan McGregors acting has improved greatly over the first film and Ian McDiarmid is still the best thing ever. And thats pretty much all the good things I have to say about the film. It has some interesting ideas but doesnt really get them across in a pleasing way. Anakin for example is meant to be the big cocky Jedi who thinks he can do everything and is shattered by what happens to his mother. Problem is that Hayden Christensen has absolutely now emotions whatsoever. He is kinda alright when he is sad but everything else completely falls flat. He always sounds like he is tired when instead he should be a lot more energetic. Thanks to that most of his scenes, especially the ones with Obi-Wan dont work. His love story with Padme is boring as hell too. But thats mostly because Padme is a really bland and boring character. The overall plot is decent but doesnt manage to excite me at any point. Its a very thin story that is way too long. I honestly think this movie would have worked better if it was under two hours long. Especially the ending goes on forever. So yeah. Definitely an improvement over the first film but still not good. Last edited by ElConvoy; 12-11-2015 at 04:57 PM.. |

Hardcore Henry - I saw the movie last night and it was better than I thought. The movie was over the top and cheesy fun from start to finish. Sharlto Copley in the movie was awesome because he was really great and funny in the movie. The whole movie is set in a first person view which makes the movie so much fun. This movie did something pretty original that a studio that has not done in a while.
This is not a movie where you can expect life philosophies. It instead offers action for the sake of action. If you love over the top cheesy movies like the Crank movies, Machete and Drive Angry then you will love this movie. If not then steer clear from this title. I wish the movie could have a better story, but I still enjoy it. Overall I love this movie and I can't wait to own it on blu-ray. Grade: B

Ant Man - 8/10
Hardcore Henry - AKA First Person Shooter The Movie and boy does it live up to its nickname. It was like the studio took the cutscenes from a 4 hour FPS and strung them together into an incomprehensible mess where the novelty wears off 10 minutes into it. If you are looking for a movie with even a tiny bit of plot or character development, look else where because you will find nothing but boredom here. The action is bland and the only saving grace for the main stuntmen is that they do not have to admit to doing this farce due to the lack of ever actually seeing their face on camera. If you love playing a pointless generic video game like the FPS genre tends to be, this is for you. Everyone else, don't even waste your time. In the end, while it will not end up being the worst movie of 2016, it is definitely a contender for it. I give Hardcore Henry a 5/10 and those five stars are for its music and the character of Jimmy, who is this movie's only highlight. |

I saw Finding Nemo in theaters back in 2003. I was 5.
Over the weekend, I saw Finding Dory. Now, I've been a high-school graduate for a little less than two weeks and regularly attend a summer class at a 4-year university. Yeah. |

This movie is much better than I remembered and features great performances by Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. |
